Hello,
I like Crunchyroll's Windows 10 app its clean and plays pretty smoothy but its common to have the following shortcut for any media player: space for pause/resume and arrows to control timeline.

I agree with this. The reason they probably haven't yet is because the Windows store apps are built for touchscreen devices.

Thank you!
maybe so but sure its depressing when i press space bar, because im used to, it takes me to another episode sometimes or does any other function than pause/ resume.
I even doubt whether the app is running html5 because how smooth it is.

HTML5 is a markup language primarily intended for web browsers, so I would be mildly surprised if the app were utilizing it. A video stream being compatible with an HTML5 player doesn't make it exclusively "HTML5 video".

Well, i think that the app is based in the Windows Universal Apps platform. I agree with the shortcuts, would make the interaction with the app using only the keyboard A LOT easier.
