I don't know what to do.

Death Parade won't play. It will fill up the loading bar 100%, but never actually play the episode. Meanwhile Please Tell Me! Galko-Chan plays just fine. I really want to watch Death Parade but it's looking like I'd have to watch the whole thing on my office computer, which is incredibly lame.

I've tried across multiple episodes. Death Parade has worked once, for one episode and then hung up on the next again, which is even odder tbh. I've restarted the system several times.

Has anyone else tun into this problem?

Edit: We use Roku, with a TP Link router. Sometimes there have been a few hiccups with the system while watching Netflix, but usually a restart solves them completely.

Certain Roku devices have the problem you are seeing right now, with no promise from CR whether or not they will ever fix it. My own Insignia TV has the same issue with about half the shows I watch.

If you don't want to just wait and hope they will fix it someday, then your choices are to unsubscribe, or else watch on a different device (or PC), which may or may not require you to buy something else...

I even tried using the VRV app, which used to work, but now it has the same problem as the "regular" CR app, so there's no relief there...

The only Roku model that I own that works consistently with CR is specifically the Roku-3 box ($95 new, $55 refurbished), not any of the TVs, not some of the sticks, etc. I have an older LT model that mostly works, but it is 720 only, and it does occasionally stall while playing.

I have an Amazon Fire TV stick that has no problem playing any episodes so far, but it has an annoying bug of its own, where you have to remember to back out of the CR app every time you are done watching. Not just pressing the home button, but only using the back arrow, or it forgets your queue and you have to go to device settings and clear out the app data...

I have also seen several users reporting issues with both game consoles (PS3/4 or Xbox), and even android TVs, so I wouldn't recommend buying any those just for this, but if you have one already you could try it.

I don't have an Apple TV or a Chromecast stick, which are the only other devices they support (other than Phones) so I don't know how well those work or not... I don't see many complaints there though. With Chromecast (probably the cheapest option), you need a phone or tablet to cast from.

Alternately, you could hook up a PC via an HDMI cable to your TV and watch that way, but that's kind of a pain...

Thank you for your reply. At least I know that I should just stop trying to fix it and accept that some shows just won't work. I've been thinking of getting a roku for my bedroom (the one in question that doesn't work for 50% of shows is the one in my living room) so when I do, I'll purchase the Roku-3 so that hopefully it'll work with crunchyroll. <3

I didn't even think about it but I do have a PS4 I suppose I could try, too.
