MAL? Nope, not unless it is specific to a certain anime, rather than the general anime section. The general anime section is basically a mesh of Cr's General Discussion, and CR's Anime Discussion, in that politics crop up frequently in relation to shows, although there are simply bad topics. You think I am a hateful person in terms of anime, MAL is full of hateful, opinionated people discussing why X anime sucks with utmost rancor.

Avoid. It is by far the largest I have seen, I suppose. Is 4 Chan's /a/ still up?

Also, as examples...

Well technically there are over a million accounts in CR. Each one of which can post on the forum. But only a handful do.

A Japanese anime forum would probably be the largest though I couldn't name one off hand. It would also be the best place to discuss anime with the chance that staff from some of the production teams or voice actors may pop on for guest appearances to promote their product. However you would need to be able to read Japanese.

For English speakers, I think the biggest ones are MAL, Crunchyroll, Anime News Network, and AnimeSuki.

Heh, 4-Chan for life. Just gotta give up your soul and morality as a small entrance fee to get in.

8-Chan's anime forum is not the largest but it does give you cancer.

So it has that much going for it.

While your there also check out pol, it will extinguish any hope you have in humanity.

Pretty much. I only use the site for its catalog of anime and ability to research series, VA's, studio's, etc.
