Crunchyroll could use a html5 player instead of the flash one current in production. There is one: clappr.io, that you could extend to add your drm stuff if you want.

Oh please no. HTML 5 has out of synch video and audio on every site I visit on every device I own through every internet connection I try. The day CR eventually moves to HTML 5 is probably the day I cancel my subscription.

For some reason i can't even play videos right now. There seems to be some issue with Flash.

HTML5 would solve so many issues.

Like your site relies on a 3rd party software. If that goes away then where are you?

Considering that Adobe has deprecated Flash, it would be nice to know when Crunchyroll will make the move to html5 for playback. Even a hint that there is a timeline for this would be nice to know...

I do believe adobe has plans to permanently take down flash plugin in what 2 years? It's time they get up to speed with current technology.

Sync issues with html5 is all in it's implementation. YouTube for example hardly ever has sync issues. Using the variable m3u8 streaming protocol is how you avoid sync issues. Though it's just a complicated setup and encoding process that most don't know now to generate it and you can not do it with live streams without a lot of cpu usage. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon all use this protocol as well and I've never had a sync issue.
