Affirmative action is deeply racist, after all it assumes that non-whites need a handout because they are not good enough to earn it on their own merits.

Fundamental attribution error tactics: assume that success is gained from individual effort and merit instead of stereotypical judgement, stereotype threat, or hiring process; this propaganda is very effective in individualistic culture which negate situational factors. Affirmative actions is used to counteract systematic racism and allow equity of all races who be treated according to their merit and morality. Affirmative action is used to prevent the self-fulfilling prophecy: the low expectation of black people in education had make the teachers devote more time and resource supporting white children than black children. The black people are often given less credit for their success since their success are attributed to situational factors, unfair advantage, or to some form of cheating. The success of black people are also used to enforce paranoia fear of overpowered black people who are assumed to be evil when they are occupy high level position.

Yet at the same time, Affirmative Action destroys the credibility of non-white peoples genuine achievements as many assume they succeeded on the basis of their skin colour and not their ability.

As you said yourself, black people are now being judged ONLY on their skin colour and not what they bring to the table due to Affirmative Action policies.

Which is exactly the outcome you would expect from a policy that defines you ONLY on race/skin colour.

Ability is simply NOT relevant and is NEVER considered a valid reason.

How many times have you heard the term "affirmative action hire" used as an insult?

AA is a racist policy that needs to be abandoned as it is holding black people back.

Did you miss the part where I said more qualified? What you stated isn't how it actually works, it's how the race baiting xenophobes want you to think it works. If you have two qualified candidates and they choose a black person to have a more diversified work force then so be it.

Do you know how affirmative action works. I never said anything about skills. and i know all about affirmative action. I ran a business and some EEO bitch came in and said i had to hire a certain amount of black people based on my total employee count. I think its bullshit, when the government can come in and tell me who to hire.

I am fairly confident that you were not sitting in the office and a Department of Labor employee came barging in with a minority at her side, demanding you hire them.
Nobody tells you who you can or cannot hire/fire.
They simply tell you that you must do EEO audits on your own or else they will wind up knocking at your office door, quickly asking you to do an audit then and there.
If you fail, you have to meet EEO compliance.
This may mean hiring people who are minorities or women but it does not mean that you have to hire someone that is not qualified for the position.
This is the individual owner's choice to do so, in order to meet EEO compliance.
I've known several who simply try to create "pointless" roles to hire people to become EEO compliant just because they were bitter.

What people fail to comprehend is that the moment you open up a private establishment that serves the public: you're required to abide by the rules that the government has laid out for businesses.
I've had to deal with the Department of Labor regarding not being EEO compliant due to not having enough veterans hired.
Further research indicated that the area where the office is has a significantly low amount of veterans compared to most locations.
Due to the average age, the Department of Labor ended up waiving it and said I'd have to put out advertisements stating that we're "veteran friendly" to be on the safe side.

It's not that bad.

Seems like some black racist must've wrote that list. AA and EEO are two of the worst policies to ever hit the working world. Job skills and the pay commensurate with those skills are supposed to make skin color obsolete. There are plenty of excuses that people carry around for why they didn't get what they wanted yesterday. Many, many people hold themselves back from getting better job skills. They've got better things to do. Like hit the bar, get high, roll down the street blasting music, ride a bike, sell drugs, etc. Skin color not required to do whatever you choose to do. The individual will hold themselves back if they choose to do so, regardless of race. Government only makes matters worse since its already made up of psychopaths and racists. When government policies are put in place to make a certain demographic special, we can toss the idea of equality into the toilet and flush. Often, this is how the powerful buy their votes. By planting a false narrative in the minds of others, then creating a law or set of laws to back it up

Ooooh No! someone reported you, must been the Jackass remark. I am sure it has nothing to do with stating the fact about affirmative action that he/she/it does not want to hear... no it was the Jackass remark because words hurt..

Per usual, I don't think you understand the topic. There is something very ironic about you misspelling "les" skilled.

I'm going to have to say you never ran a business, or were very ineffective at it. Hence no longer running it. As was pointed out, EEO regulations are easily bypassed if you can prove there have been no qualified candidates and it's not a bias on your part. Unfortunately we've had to prove this is on one occasion, and it was as simple as showing candidates resumes.

Now back to one of your original comments that irritated me, there is no such thing as "blacks only colleges." There are historically black colleges that every white person would have thought beneath them during segregation, and still avoid because of a stigma. They have no policies against white students (my brother works for one, and took classes there at a discount).

Ive ran two businesses, both left in the hands of other people as I moved on to better things. the EEO did call me and tell me i needed to have a certain amount of minority employees. but i aint here to convince you.

Yes it was the "jackass" remark. That's exactly what it was reported for, and that's exactly the part I removed from the post. You can see that the ensuing conversation related to affirmative action was left as is (oh, except for also removing the, no pun intended, inflammatory remark "you can die in a fire for all I care.")

Disrespectful language like that creates an atmosphere that encourages straying away from the subject at hand and into personal insult exchanges, or heated arguments of little content.

BTW, please stop creating and perpetuating quote pyramids. It also looks like you had doubleposted as you sometimes do, and have been asked not to. Please try to avoid that in the future.
