21 years old. Past that you're a creepy low life who's considered a bed wetting miserable pile of bones & flesh.

Sarcasm aside who cares if you watch anime. I'm 35 and all my friends and co-workers know I watch.

I used to love anime so much, but things change. The more crappy artstyles I see in later anime, the less anime I watch.

This sort of question assumes that anime is all of a kind. It isn't. It also assumes people are all of a kind. They aren't.

You'll find middle aged women who stumbled onto SAO and think it's wonderful because a cartoon has an actual relationship develop. They aren't wrong.

You'll find twenty-somethings who think Kirito is a role model. He isn't.

Rinse and repeat for the entire medium.

Is there an age where you should stop playing video games, watching movies, going out with friends, etc?

I would say no.

Entertainment is simply something that varies for each individual.

I would also say that despite what some people may think, anime is definitely not an immature medium that is meant only for children.

I don't understand why people feel they need to stop doing things to 'feel more grown up.'

This 100%. What many people that do not watch anime seem to think and what me and my friends actually do.

Some people choose to grow out of it. Just as some choose to grow out of video games, thinking it makes them more adult and responsible.

Are you functioning as an adult in the world of adults? If so who cares what you do with your free time. Especially when its not harmful to anyone. (though maybe your wallet, expensive hobbies). If your going around stalking Teenagers or pretending your a magical girl/superhero/ki throwing martial artist in real life...maybe its not the hobby for you exactly. (Though there is cosplay and im not knocking it here, takes skill to make many of those costumes)

I'm also in my 50's and still watch. You'll have periods when you don't watch, but it's like being a metalhead. You're born an anime fan and you can't get that out of your blood. You'll have phases when you start get become pretentious and think all the new stuff is crap, and then a few years down the road you'll realize how inane that is. You'll find yourself moving to new genres when it suddenly hits you that just a few years ago, you'd never dream you'd actually _like_ [insert genre of choice here]. You'll have periods when you're bored or burnt out, but then one day you'll see something that catches your eye. Things change, you change, anime changes, you adapt, you'll find stuff you like, you'll find stuff you don't but keep watching.

I'm just piling on at this point, but there's no age limit on enjoying anime. Keep watching as long as you love it.

Is there an age where you should stop listening to certain music? Is there an age where you should stop playing video games? Is there an age where you should stop watching non rated-R movies? No.

Since you are making a point of your age, I assume this question stems from a certain pressure you may be feeling to fit in with your peers. In which case, I would suggest finding friends with similar interests rather than changing your interests to fit your friends. You will be happier in the long run, and you are more likely to find people you will socialize with after high school.
