So I just finished a manga called Hetakoi by Junko Nakano who unfortunately passed away in 2012 from a heart disease. I think the story was really done and was really good, I think it at least deserved an OVA of some kind, cause it was a bit graphic(had some sex scenes that could easily be cut out and just implied) but the drawings were just so classic styled and felt so fresh, even for a manga that was only finished in 2012. I just really miss that old style.

What are some other artists and authors that passed away that you wish that got a chance to have their work in anime form?

Osamu Tezuka was writing Phoenix when he passed away. It was to be his magnum opus, all converging into one point. He died in 1989.

The author of the harem series MM! died at quite the young age. Many suspected he committed suicide.

Oh....deserving of an anime. Yep, both of these series do have anime adaptations.

Leave it as a manga... The subject matter is to jarring for most; there would be no money put into it. Yes, I've read the whole thing and remember it, and even though I thought it was ok to good can you picture the anime community getting pissed because the story did not play out how they would like. Also, the middle part was a bit annoying and frustrating. Finally even if they did has money to put into it. It would lose money.

SN: IMO those senses are some off the most important, and as a writer you should NEVER imply the audience will guess what happened unless they know your writing style or are invested in it. Also we are about the same age... So I see why you may like it,but some of the drama was over the top and I really don't like any of the characters....

That was just an example from me, I thought it was good in general. Just seeing what other people think as far as other people who may have passed away as well that people think deserved anime of their work.

Not a big deal. Not sure if you can edit the topic name of an existing thread but just in case, figured it couldn't hurt to help draw people to your topic.
