To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. joy And yes by the way, I DO have a Rick and Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

I fucking love Rick and Morty. It's probably the best show on TV right now. I can't wait for the season finale. It sounds like we're going to get more evil Morty, which I love. Tales from the Citadel was probably my favorite episode of the series so far (it was definitely the best written episode imo). I wasn't as surprised about the reveal at the end of the episode as most people seemed to be. I had my suspicions about the Morty running for President when he knocked the debates out of the park because he seemed to outsmart the Ricks who were also running, but it was the press conference scene right afterward that confirmed my suspicions when he dodges the question about which reality he's from with "you know we've moved around so much I don't really remember." Still, the way everything played out in that episode was just perfect.

About the newest episode, I don't think it's even really up for debate whether or not Beth took Rick's recommendation to replace herself with a clone and travel the universe for herself. It's pretty obvious she did. The whole point of the episode was to show how similar Beth is to Rick deep down, and at the end of the day she's going to abandon her children just like Rick did to her. Besides, her clone at the end was way too upbeat after all that heavy shit she went through in the episode.

So far, I think season 3 has been the best season so far and I'm pumped for an epic finale on Sunday.

I just watched the pilot/first episode earlier today. Judging from that one episode i dont understand all the hype? But cant really judge a show from one episode. It didn't appeal to me at all though.
EDIT: Watched a couple more episodes and i liked them a lot more than the first episode. It's not heaps funny or anything but it's entertaining.
I imagine it would be rather trippy stoned.
Ricks burping gets kind of annoying.
OP sounds like a real toss pot i gotta say though.
