Hey what happened to the Nazis? Oh there they are, had to wait until the end. Yeesh this chicks mouth, I don't know who is worse her or the guy from Black Clover. Hey MC your buddy didn't bail because of whatever your thinking it was to get away from the annoying girl who cut a hole into his room ( you should do the same). Oh and hey isn't senpai the girl from Shobitch? They look (except Shobitch has bigger boobs), talk and act the same.

Episode 2

So Ren continues to be haunted by his visions. They go visit the church, and now all hell is breaking loose, at least for Ren as those two Neo-Nazis in Bey and Malleus have come to attack. Of course, Ren just has no clue how to fight, but someone intervenes and tells Bey that he's causing problems for everybody. Well, that was underwhelming once again as I'm definitely losing interest in this show fast.

The skirt and panties jokes...really?

I got mixed feelings about the episode. The humor comes out as dry while the characters are hard to get attached to. As for the setting this episode, I like it better than the previous one as it has a more grimmer atmosphere.

Felt kinda bad for Ren this episode though as he put into a rough spot and almost died.
That Malleus girl seems like a dangerous character to face against. I really hope we find out more about these characters because so far, they feel pretty blend.

This is one of the big worries I had with the anime. The thing is, Dies Irae, is amazing due to its cast of characters, but you slowly learn about their naunces and complexities over the course of four different roues in the VN. Thus, depending on the route they choose to adapt, some characters won't get the characterization they display in the VN. Again, I highly tout you read the VN . And the anime skipped this important scene between Mercerius and Reinhard and decided to animate a panty shot scene instead lol.

It doesn't help, unfortunately, that the sub translations in the anime fall flat heavily. The VN writing was very stylistic and beautiful, and the CR translator likes any of the oomph the source material translators used.

Trust me, I can understand dropping the anime, but it is not reflective of the quality of the source material. I highly reccomend reading the VN, it is 100 percent a worthwhile read.

Episode 2 is kind of slow, but just corny enough to keep watching.

As an anime only viewer (I plan to play the VN in the future), I'm confused as fuck. Who exactly is Marie??

What is Ren's role in this show? I just feel lost so far.

I'm loving the sense of bewilderment I'm getting from this show. Well what else to expect from some supernatural God/Nazi themed slash trash.

Look I am telling you know, if you haven't read the VN just drop the show outright. The route they are adapting is meant to be viewed/read after two routes and they skipped a ton of content from the VN that would explain what's going on.

The reason you are feeling bewildered is b/c the anime cut so much content from the VN that you won't understand what's going. Just read the VN. In particular since, The route they are adapting is meant to be viewed/read after two routes..

This is a narrative mess, but the cheese is still fun enough to keep watching.

Tbh, I don't like to drop shows and this has 18 episodes. How long is the VN?

The thing is, you should drop it regardless- b/c this anime isn't a good representation of the story, and like I said it is adapting the third route from the VN. It would be like watching season 3 of a show before watching season 1 or 2.

The VN, with all its routes and depending on your reading speed, will take anywhere between 30-50 hours. I personally finished it at the 48 hour mark.

Not to mention the anime spoiled something major without the correct context...
