After months of planning, i finally decided to rise up for the challenge and start playing this.

It should be mentioned that i've never played any of the Souls games. I did plan for the first one years ago, but cancelled that. Now that it gets remastered, maybe it's time...

And then there's this. What can i say about this one. It's merciless. Merciless, but rewarding. Since i'm a beginner at games like this, there's only way for me: taking my time. That's it. Sure, i die at times, but that's the part of this.

As you might guess, i'm going for 100%. That includes trophies. Because of that, i have to use walkthrough videos for this one. I just want to get everything in one go. That's it.

Just a little overview about how far i'm at currently:

Well, that's it for now. This is going to take some while to complete because of various reasons. I'm also looking forward to that when get that platinum. It's going my Top 3 hardest platinums when that happens. Until then.

The good thing about a Platinum in Bloodborne is that it's a pretty lean and focused trophy. It doesn't require any obscene grinding, endless PvPing or playing through New Game++++++. It's really just about you being able to play the game and take on the challenges it naturally throws at you. Yes, some of those challenges are tough but I never felt like I really had to force myself to do anything for the BB Plat that I wouldn't have done anyway.

An important thing to keep in mind when playing a Souls game / Bloodborne is how to make your build. When leveling up, you don’t want to spend your points evenly across all stats (you can, but it’ll require a lot of grinding just to have a decent damage output and survivability, not to mention it’s going to be a pain trying to level up to many weapons). All stats have a point of diminishing return.

You want to choose your main damage scaling stat : strength, finesse, or arcane (bloodtinge has only primary weapons that scale with it, if I remember correctly). Also note that arcane has few weapons that have good scaling with it and most of them are from the Old Hunters DLC, if memory serves.

Once you’ve chosen your main damage scaling stat, don’t put any more points into the other ones except for the minimum required to handle your preferred weapons.

For endurance, you want to find the right amount so that you can do your combos / dodges / backing out of range without running out of stamina.

For vitality, you want enough to take a few hits from the area boss for when you slip up.

For you damage scaling stat, in the long run, you want to get it to the point of diminishing returns which is around 40-50. You can get the details on that for your weapons on 1 of the 2 wikis (the Wikia or Fextralife one, I don’t remember which).

On a side note, learning to do interrupts (with your pistol) followed by visceral attacks can be very rewarding.

Builds in Bloodborne (even more so than Dark Souls) tend to be centered around the weapons you want to use.

Arcane is powerful but generally requires chalice dungeon farming to be effective for the early/mid-game.

Bloodtinge can be a main damage dealing stat. It can even be broken (as in OP). It's generally built more for one-shotting other people in PVP with firearms, though. Bloodtinge / Skill hybrid with the Chikage is a thing though.

You should be aware that visceral attacks scale with the skill stat. So, if you don't go with a skill or quality build (quality is a strength skill hybrid in bloodborne), then you will be doing very little damage late game damage with visceral attacks.

I'm aware of these aspects, but thank you. The interrupts you mentioned are something i forgot to mention. One instance i used that for example, was Father Gascoigne. Made the battle slightly easier.

That's true. The only thing i dislike about the platinum are the few missable trophies. Other than that, it's not bad.

Ah, I forgot about those.Good point. An upside to that is that once you know the game you can easily run through it in a couple of hours to get what you missed. And I'm not even talking with any secret speedrun tech or anything.

Thank god they removed that. The snake enemies you encounter in Forbidden Woods were real pain in the ass to deal with.

Also, i still have to write my "report" about the since i completed it.
