I guess everyone has a different idea of what a 'soulmate' is. I don't know why but I'm interested in learning about different things people believe in. I believe the term came from a belief that everyone started out as just pure energy. The energy was then split off and cut into different pieces to give life to people and form their 'souls'. Those cut from the same fabric of energy are said to be 'soulmates', therefore people can have multiple soulmates living on the earth at the same time as them.

'Does a soulmate mean you need to be in a romantic relationship with them?' some may ask. I personally don't believe so, I think it can be anyone you cross paths with who you get along well with (might be a really good friend). I don't think there is ever such things as someone who is perfect for you, but someone who can tolerate your short comings while still loving you and likewise.

It probably isn't the best explanation of the concept, please forgive me if I didn't explain it right hahaha

I don't think so. I think some people find that one person that they click with and can spend the rest of their life with, but it still takes a lot of work to ensure that happens. If both parties or even just one of the people involved aren't attempting to make it work, it won't.

Personally I don't be live in soulmates. Sure, we can love someone a LOT but people need a break from each other once and a while. Plus it's pretty common for people to get bored of each other nowadays.
