That will most likely happen. We can at least hope that they aren't as brutal as ISIS or other terroristic groups.

What an utterly bizarre thing to say to this topic.

Why stop there? Let's roll this shit back to Dagon worship and return England to the pagans. Heck, why wait, lets fire up another Crusade and burn us some witches. Then we can steal all their iconography and claim its our own.

Srly, dude. What the fark? -.-

"Man, its a good thing they were freed from religious extremism. Now if only they'd change religions!"

Well, I do not engage in entertaining the self-delusion that all religions are equivalent. I do not see Islam as equivalent to Christianity anymore than I see Christianity as equivalent to Secular Humanism. IMHO, that's the truly bizarre way of seeing things. If you're used to seeing such things in an upside-down manner, than suggesting something be right-side up certainly would seem bizarre.

Fun Fact: during the 300 years existence the Church's Office of Inquistion a total of about 2,000 people were executed. That's half of America's daily infant exterminations.

Also: most serious historians see the Crusades as a movement justified in its goal of reclaiming land stolen by Muslims, but with means and execution that dwindled in competence as time passed. Culturally, North Africa and the eastern Mediterranean were once southern Europe.
