When I watch certain anime shows on my PS3 app it either goes to a black screen and then shows an error message and I need to restart the app or it says it's unable to connect to the internet when it is clearly still connected to it.

I have tried deleting and re-downloading the app but same problems with the same shows. I even changed some settings to see if that was the problem but still the same thing.

I was really hoping the site would be good as I've heard so many good things about it but I am disappointed that it doesn't fully work on the PS3 app. I was thinking about getting a Premium account too but if this keeps happening then it would be a waste of money as I wanted it to work on the big tv not just on little laptop screens.

What shows are you having this issue with? How long were you watching the show before it went to a black screen? What was the first error message that you received? How is your PS3 connected to your router, have you tried moving it closer or using an ethernet cable? What is your download rate? I'm not sure if deleting and re-downloading the app will delete the cache (I would think that it would), but you could try deleting the CR app cache.

It's the ad's causing this problem it started yesterday and it's doing it again today, this problem effects playstation like PS3 and Vita versions not sure about the PS4 but more in likely it has the same problem, I have noticed that it is the Crunchyroll ad's that are causing the problem.

I would recommend that you try the free trial so that way you know 100% if it's the ad's or not.

I keep getting this about half way through episode 3 of Hell Girl: Fourth Twilight. I wish I could go as free, it's really annoying.

edit: never mind, does it on anything. Bleh.

Having trouble myself just now. I'm watching on PS3 didnt have any trouble then all of a sudden 1 episode wouldn't work so went to a different show it played for a while now none of my shows play. I went to internet browser cleared cache deleted the twice now. Still cant get any shows to work. Sent a message to support for help but who knows when they'll respond.

since I don't watch on a console because I literally don't have the space, the new issues could be related to the new player which is html5, resulting in some devices not in support of said player resulting in a lot of errors long before they forced it out of beta and towards the rest of the masses. it's not complete but it appears to be as complete as it's going to get. I'm encountering other people with similar issues when they are on other devices, they were playing just fine until a few days ago when their section caught up to the html5 and thus resulting in the device app unable to handle it and/or the device itself such as a console. I also ran across a dated article stating that Playstation doesn't support html5 embedding. https://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/PS4-Support/Html5-not-working/m-p/23290070 if that's the case and CR did this, then this isn't going to go well with their app, hopefully they'll update it soon. it could be something as simple as peak time for location/net. try back in a short bit and see if it continues, if you've done everything including trying at different times, then submit a ticket and hope for the best.
