One of the companies I work for is an international company. I heard all the horror stories about them already. I typed up the name and noticed reviews from Glassdoor and Indeed sites.

2.5-3 stars out of 5

Most of the complaints are about wages and workload. These are nothing new once you are working for the company for about 1 year. You should forget about pay raise or benefits with this company.

5 Stars, while I'm not too crazy about the work the pay is decent, I have way more freedom than most at their jobs, and my co-workers and bosses aren't dicks.

Well without saying much to give away where I work I would say between 2-3 stars. We have bad hours, next to zero pay and have been involved in multiple economical and so called "community" scandals. (upsetting the bible thumpers).

I think the last place I worked at was too small to go up on Glassdoor, but I'd give it a 2.
The owners were a couple and ran the store like an extension of their home. Family always in and out, publicly arguing all the time. They didn't treat me badly per se, but they were terrible managers and kept hiring inexperienced people to work without any instruction, myself included. Got scammed maybe like 5 times by untrustworthy contractors.

I did the best I could, but they never provided enough information for me to work with and I basically felt like an apologetic human answering machine, since people could never get ahold of my boss.

it doesn't look good for this company the more i looked into it. The comments are not so nice from former employees.

I found an article about the company being fined (millions) for ".. violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the McNamara–O’Hara Service Contract Act (SCA)"

Fair Labor Standards Act
https://www.dol.gov/whd/regs/compliance/hrg.htm

McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA)
https://www.dol.gov/whd/govcontracts/sca.htm

They also tend to crack down on discussions about pay/wages like some illegal activities within the company despite it's one of the rights of the employees.

I work for a large, multi-billion dollar company at the moment. I'll give 2.5 stars out of 5.

There are raises and benefits, but the bosses themselves totally bring down the energy of the environment. There's a lot of negativity that goes around. The stress from the job isn't the problem. It's the stress from the bosses who seem incapable to talk to their employees with respect that slowly kills the vibe until we're left wondering, there's gotta be somewhere better than this.

My last job had its perks, especially my position. But overall it was shit. Incompetent management, a few terrible employees, and the customers were something else.

My company has a rating of 2.5. In my location it is a good place to work but a lot of reviews are from two offices where the atmosphere is described as toxic.

Complaints about lack of work.
Complaints of overwork.
Complaints of back stabbing and bullying.

It is amazing how local mismanagement / mishandling of new employees in a few locations can soil a company's reputation.

4/5 stars. The pay's not great, but I get along very well with my coworkers and manager, the work is decent, and they are pretty accommodating to my school schedule.

I work at a furniture store as the only warehouse guy and sometimes do furniture deliveries. I would rate my job a 3.5/5. It's not terrible, but it's annoying when you have to bring up the same complaints and concerns with nothing being addressed. It's mostly the sales team that has most of the blame for lack of communication. Pay is decent for what it is. I work maybe 35% of my day. It's a pretty lax job. No benefits, which is no bueno. Overall, I'm content for now.

3.5

Surprising to me we still have a good rating.

Reading the reviews, they are the same as my own concerns.

Pros. great managers and employees to work with. Great pay and room for advancement within the company.

Cons. Sales goals are too high and contribute to many people quitting or being fired.

Good thing I got transferred to a department that doesn't have to sell anything or talk to people on the phones. I love working behind the scenes, despite the crazy amount of secretarial workload to support a call center.

I'd say it started as a solid 3.5
Raised to an 4 after the first year,
Lowered to a 2.5 after the second year
Now it's sitting at a 1.5 after 3 and a half....

There are many days I consider quitting.
