Here's the FAQ in case anyone was wondering what the plans for the future are (or lack thereof):

TL;DR - There are no plans to change how they operate or their partnership with CR/VRV. The only real change (from their perspective) is that Sony will enable them to reach more countries. I know whenever CR brings over a Funimation title and it's limited to just the U.S. and sometimes a few other countries, I see a lot of people upset. Maybe now that'll be less of a problem for future shows if things go as smoothly as they predict. Of course Sony could always change their mind about how to handle Funimation at any time, but at the moment there doesn't seem to be much concern from what's been made public.

Some home releases for the UK have been mysteriously cancelled by Alltheanime such as Sound Euphonium - seems just out of nowhere they lost the license. No coincidence I'm sure...

Sound Euphonium is Pony Canyon, so how would either Funimation or Sony be involved?

Wow.. Never Knew About This! - Looks like they haven't changed anything so it's a good thing for the time being.

I am not worried about it at all. Crunchyroll seems more popular than Funimation in North America and I don't see how this would change the game in the future, except maybe better competition between the two giants...
