I've seen forum threads here about anime you hate or anime you love but I want to ask something specific out of curiosity: What would've made an anime you watched perfect to you?

I mean, we watch and enjoy some anime that we know isn't perfect or at least is only close to that. It just either needed something added onto it that isn't there (like wasted characters or plot or it could've had a good OP/ED, anime ending) or it had been given something that made it less likeable (or in the extreme side, made you hate it when you loved it so much at first). What are those?

For me, it'll be Kokoro Connect's last arc. I thought everyone acted stupid and it made the whole thing feel pointless. It was good before that.

And for Mikakunin de Shonkoukei, it would've been better without Benio. She was annoying and creepy with her sis-loliconism and the fact that nobody else notices and her own sister had been desensitized to her creepy actions makes it worst. She ruined good moments.

And the movie Anthem of the Heart would've been better if the conflict with Jun's mother was resolved. Like if they talked after the musical because Jun honestly needed that and I was hoping that the mom listening and seeing the songs and story her daughter created for the show would help her understand what Jun was going through but they didn't do anything else about that particular plot.

Others I liked I guess just needed a remake with the quality of today's anime visual-wise and maybe follow the original manga.

Kado the right answer.

Started off strong but ruined the premise by making the alien a person with evil intentions and using the stupid moral humans have to make there own choices in advancing blah blah blah.

Simply put it would of been perfect if they kept to the original premise of an alien who advanced society it took what i wanted and TRASHED it.

Every anime I've ever watched would have been better if there was more oppai and ketsu.

Death Note without Light and replaced by a better character.

Either a character that's actually intelligent in order to make the cat and mouse more believable without relying on roulette gambits and diabolus ex machina, or a character with some kind of moral depth so we could witness the character decay rather than jumping right into the moral event horizon. Preferably both.

Ranma 1/2 would have been a lot better without Happosai. He was a one trick pony that got stale very fast.

Easy one for me. Sound Euphonium. I loved it from start to finish except for how the writers opted to (or were forced to) shoe horn in stuff from the manga right at the end rather than finish telling the story they had been telling in the first 22 or so episodes. It wouldn't have been such a big deal if it didn't essentially cut out the heart and soul of the series right at it's end.

Samurai Flamenco if it didn't go full blown sentai and stayed more of a street level hero. I was digging it until episode 7 or 8 when it did that.

Seconded.

I could probably come up with quite a few for this...

Personally, I think Plastic Memories would've been better without the whole 'tragic love story' plotline. I thought the premise of 'dude works as a robo-reaper' would have made for interesting show, but then that got ignored in favor of 'dude falls in love with dying girl.'

I also think Kiznaiver would've have been better with more psychology. I thouht the Maki arc was interesting, and thought we'd get something like that for the rest of the cast. But instead we got a love conga line.

And I also think Terror in Resonance would've been better with characters who were actually interesting.

One Piece needed not to have Luffy.

I really like the art style of One Piece. I really like the imaginative ideas and plotlines of One Piece. But I fucking hate that Monkey D. Luffy arsehole and just want to smack the shit out of him.

I don't know, Akame ga Kill! for me. This is one that still bothers me. The ending was bad, but the thing that annoys me the most is how early Sheele and Bulat gets killed. It happens in the manga, that much i know. But, they just couldn't give them some more screentime? Stupid f***ed-up s***.
