Episode 4

Ahhhhh you won't believe how long I've been anticipating this episode!

We learn more about the characters this episode, like for example how it’s hard for Sogo and Tamaki to connect with other people. The big reveal of Tenn being Riku’s older twin brother and the backstory of how Tenn left their family. As a person who’s played the game, we don’t see this flashback so having it added to the anime was a treat and was pretty emotional.

I absolutely love, love, love the TRIGGER concert! The animators did such a good job making it feel like you’re actually at a big concert! The camera zooming across the stage, the audience, the lights above, the big screens, it was all executed very wonderfully and felt very dynamic. That "Let's go Wake me up! (Can't wake up)" though lol Ahhhh I love TRIGGER ; v ;

We also hear Tenn say some of the best quotes from the story. He explains why it’s important to do their best for their fans.

"Let's suppose you order omelet rice at a restaurant [...] Even though you're paying the same price, how would you feel if it tasted good yesterday but bad today? [...] Concerts work the same way. If you think it's okay to make them worry, you're taking advantage of your fans’ love. It’s something shameless amateurs who lack resolve do.”

“We’re busy. But our fans could be busier. Our job is hard. But our fans’ lives could be even harder. We have things we want to do. But our fans might have things they want to do even more. Those people have made time to come see us, seeking dreamlike entertainment. So if we can’t make every moment the best possible, there’s no point in us standing onstage.”

With this little speech, it motivates Nagi and Tamaki to stay more focused when they perform.

Hoo boy the drama at the end of the credits. I hope TROYCA keeps up the good work.

By the way, Bandai Visual has uploaded the ending to their YouTube! Just like how they uploaded the opening, the ending will only be up for a limited time.

It’s so refreshing to hear TRIGGER sing rock! I just love how it starts off soft in the beginning but then they hit you with their powerful vocals! The visuals are also very good, especially the part where it shows their eyes ahhhhh. Although I have to admit it’s a huge contrast to the opening lol

Riku should really be careful from now on about his health.

Honestly, performing in that outfit with weather like that just smells like trouble coming to his way.

Episode 5

Tsumugi is off to Yaotome where she learns that Riku doesn't have what it takes to make it from his brother there. He has a fatal flaw as while Riku can sing, standing on stage for a concert is another matter entirely as his lung capacity is weak due to a respiratory disorder. The guys perform at the train station to gain fans while service is suspended, and it works. But in dealing with Riku's disease, Tsumugi is doing what she can to ensure he's in shape to perform. Next up is a concert in the same venue, and this time they are going to do it in front of a full house instead of only nine fans. That was some pretty insightful stuff on Riku as it's no wonder he and Tenn don't get along.

It's really obvious that Tenn still cares for Riku he's a tsundere, I swear..
I really like how they're including songs from the game! It really makes me happy.
Also Iori and Riku are a really good combo I honestly love seeing their interactions XD
And Tsumugi is too cute for this world

I just started watching this as I had nothing else to watch, and have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. For the idol genre this has a lot more story and content than most. On Tenn and Riku's relationship I can't help but wonder if Tenn is somehow jealous of Riku? Maybe Riku despite his illness is the better singer, and would have been the one chosen if he hadn't had problems. And Tenn knows this and deep down resents it. At least that is what I hope the story will be, not the trope of "he really cared and so was a nasty jerk". Because as often as that trope is used, rarely does it justify itself- in the end the person still behaved poorly whether or not they secretly cared and often it is easy to think of better ways of showing you care in whatever given situation.

As someone who's played the game, I can tell you that Tenn does have a much deeper reason leaving his family behind, but that most likely won't be revealed in the anime unless it gets more seasons, so there's a chance than he might come off that way.
That being said, Tenn and Riku's relationships was one of the things that I thought were a bit handled poorly in the game (and Tenn's behaviour toward Riku). I don't want to go too deep into spoiler territory so I'll just leave it at that.

Episode 6

It's showtime, and the while the boys brought down the house, with their performance, Mother Nature has other ideas as the stormy weather has brought the concert to a screeching halt. But those buys aren't stopping as Tamaki keeps on dancing, and then power comes back on to finish the concert. So with Idolish7 on the map, Trigger's production company president is none too pleased about things and are trying to sabotage them, which Trigger is something Trigger is not on-board with. Now, producers are calling them to do side gigs for these guys, but the group members are not on-board as Sogo and Tamaki were offered to do something with just the two of them, and they are a seven-man group. Those guys have made it big, but with that comes new challenges and public pressure that comes with being in the business.

DANCING BEAT MADE ME CRY I DIDNT EXPECT TO HEAR IT IN THE ANIME.
Honestly though, Gaku's dad looked scarier than the game and I don't understand how lol.
I love it when Nagi speaks in English tbh (especially when he says 'Are you happy' because that makes me happy).

This week....IDOLISH7 had some major bops going on!

--ANNNNNNNNNND the infighting begins as Puddin' and Sogo get offers to appear on a tv series.

--I actually really liked how TRIGGER were all 'NO' when the president was all, "Let's sabotage them!'

--I ship Yamato/Tsumugi because Iori is in high school and Yamato seems to be more Tsumugi's age.

--Am I the only one who likes the Ponytail Producer guy? I think he's just as cute as the groups!

--I'm sorry but Nagi still fucking annoys me for some reason

Ah, are you talking about Banri? He's actually just a staff member at Takanashi Productions and not a producer but don't worry, lots of people think he's cute and a great character so you're not the only one! He also 'runs' the official twitter for the franchise so you should check it out sometime! https://twitter.com/iD7Mng_Ogami He posts stuff about the anime and game related stuff (events and such) so there aren't any spoilers!

Otherwise, I really really liked this episode a lot and I was really looking forward to it because of Tsumugi's involvement in resolving the power outage issue. She kept her cool, she seized those opportunities to keep the show going - it was amazing to see this unfold when it's animated! I was also pleasantly surprised by Dancing∞BEAT!! since in the game, it wasn't mentioned what song they were performing when the power went out (I thought it was just Joker Flag) so seeing a new song was a nice surprise for both fans/followers of the anime and even the game!

I was also pretty shook by how intense Tamaki and Sogo's argument really was??? The anime is doing wonders of really heightening those dramatic scenes and intensifying the emotional delivery as a result in comparison to how it's all portrayed in the game.

I'm at the edge of my seat and I'm so eager for more!

I couldn't remember his name. But I like Banri! I'll have to check out his twitter!

And Tsumugi's a great character as well. If this was another show, the female MC would probably be freaking out.

Dancing Beat is actually a Bop. Also, Sogo has a nice voice.

And something tells me that TRIGGER are probably nice guys afterall who could care less about IDOLISH7's rise and probably would welcome it...

Also the one guy sounds like Mitsutada from Touken Ranbu.

Yup! Satou Takuya the voicer for Mitsutada is the same voicer for Ryuu from TRIGGER. Tenn is voiced by Soma Saito who is also the voicer for Tsurumaru/Namazuo.

I knew Soma Saito was in this but I didn't know Satou was in this as well!

Yeah no harem! Now that I've had a look at this I'm curious about Riku's family situation. Since there seems to be a plot I think I'll manage to stick to the series.
