When it comes to one punch man being better than boku no hero? Yeah that's my opinion, true. But not the fact that its predictable. If i watched more episodes i could probably predict more. I predicted the ending of naruto, though, it was kind of obvious.

No duh. Shounen anime is the most formulaic and predictable genre of anime there is. It's all just random power-ups and the main character overcoming their shortcomings to win in the end. Bragging about being able to predict a shounen anime is like bragging about being able to predict that the sun will rise tomorrow.

And yeah, OPM is way better than BnH. When we talk about 'the new king of shounen anime' though, I assume we're talking about shows like One Piece and Naruto that are long-running and have HUGE fanbases. It's not necessarily an indicator of overall quality. OPM doesn't really qualify because it's just 13 episodes long and has a relatively niche audience.

Not all shonen anime is predictable. Attack on titan certainly wasn't, lol

Oh my gosh you're so smart, way more intelligent than those stupid idiots writing such predictable series. What are they even thinking trying to outwit you?

Never said i was smarter than the writers of the series asshole. I'll i was saying is that i didn't think Boku no hero was that great because i felt that it was too predictable. And as a writer myself i don't like things that are predictable, well too predictable anyways.

Yeah, I'd consider AoT to be more seinen than shounen though. It's a lot more violent than your typical shounen and deals with more adult themes than just the typical 'hardwork and friendship' stuff we get with most shounen.

Idk, naruto was pretty damn violent, in the second part anyways and that was considered shonen.

Yeah, but there weren't people getting eaten alive every episode.

But I am still following it for now to see where it goes.

While I'm enjoying the show it's doesn't really do anything unique. It's about as generic as shonen anime can get. It hits so many tropes it's like going down a grocery list, just checking off the essentials.

I expect it to be popular but no where close to Naruto or One Piece levels. I think MHA is the new era top dog shonen.

Ha ha no, people talked mad shit about the manga and even voted it as one of the worst and I expect it will only continue with the anime. Meanwhile people like myself will continue to read/watch it and enjoy it for what it is, without either the bias or bs hype.

No, definitely not. To me it’s merely a copycat of Naruto with a different setting and different characters, but the end message is the same. I only keep watching to see if it has some potential left at this stage. I could enjoy it more if Asta wasn’t constantly screaming & clowning around, in hopes he will mature up. One thing positive though is the animation, notably backgrounds. Overall, it’s very much tempting to drop it, although I’d like to see more or read the manga before I call it quits.
