I have such great ideas for live-action Ranma 1/2 (no, not that Japanese-TV low-rent-cosplay monstrosity), Dirty Pair, and the muddled Sailor Moon that Geena Davis never got to produce, I'm haunted by trailers that will never happen.
(Imagine if Pat Morita had lived to downplay a slyer, more Grandfather McCartney-like spin on Happosai...And complain about yellowface all you want, Linda Hunt even had the voice to play Cologne.)

Also, Jim Carrey finally going old, nutty and creepy deprives us of our 90's dreams of ever seeing his spiritually one-in-a-million separated-at-birth resemblance to Lupin III finally played out on screen...There are some characters an actor was BORN to play.

Maybe more show than movie, but

1. Steins;Gate
2. Kimi no na wa (which they already doin, this would obviously be a movie not a show)
3. Your Lie in April
4. Ajin
5. Usagi Drop

While there are a number of shows that would make great live action adaptations, the one I would like to see the most is Psycho-Pass. After all, that show was inspired by Minority Report, which is a live action movie. These kinds of shows would make for something great in live action.

The three I've bolded were done as live action films in Japan.

Jormungand.
It would actually work well as a Hollywood movie, considering it's basically a Hollywood action movie in anime form.

Hellsing done by someone like Zack Snyder would be interesting. It would do well with that over the top style 300 had.

You can't give anything to Hollywood with out it getting raped. Pun intended.

I think if you're thinking Hollywood, you have to choose something that has a western influence to it. You have to choose something that isn't too deep, unfortunately, because GiTS proved Hollywood is going to dumb everything down. So I would take these five.

1. Black Lagoon: Already feels really western, it be hard for Hollywood to mess this one up.
2. Gunslinger Girl: Might be a little bit harder to do with the touchy subject of little kids being killers, but it could transition pretty well.
3. New Dominion Tank Police: This one might be a bit more of a stretch, but could work pretty well as an action comedy with a bunch of over the top set pieces.
4. Tiger Mask original or W: NJPW has had an actual Tiger Mask wrestling for years. I think you could make a pretty good movie out of the series style it like a boxing film.
5. Monster: Monster is a great psychological thriller, it wouldn't fit in one movie, but get the right director and it should be easy to make a good live action remake. Hell Guillermo Del Toro has wanted to make this for a while.

In no exact order:

~Darker Than Black

~Baccano

~Gundam (Preferably 00 or Wing)

~Fullmetal Alchemist

~Monster (which I'm hoping could be done tonally like HBO's "True Detective" either on HBO or Netflix)

Hmm I didn't know Usagi Drop had been made into a movie. Either way though, if I'm watching live action I prefer it in English.

Absolutely none of them unless, by magical doo-dah chance - a reknowned director were to do it. Not some unknown tit-bag.

- Fullmetal Alchemist
- D. Gray-Man
- NGE

and that's it.
