Hi All!!!

I have read and watched Attack on Titan which I really enjoyed but I am new to the manga space.

Recently finished Inuyashiki which I thought was good too.

What are your pics for the darker side of things???

Thanks!

Tokyo Ghoul and Parasyte are always good choices.

Ubel Blatt is a violent manga about a swordsman seeking revenge against the ones who wronged him and are now calling themselves the
Seven Heroes. The violance and story rivals that of Berserk, however, Ubel Blatt is going to be ending soon, while Berserk keeping going on hiatus.

Terra Formars is a sci-fi manga i really enjoy. It follows a group of people that are sent to Mars to find a cure for a virus. When they arrive, though, they come under attack by a race of highly intelligent humanoid cockroaches with a love for murdering humans. Don't watch the anime unless you can find the uncensored version.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a must read/watch. It's one of the best manga's of all time, with plenty of humor and dark elements to keep anyone interested. If you're new to manga, then this is one you'll definitely want to check out.

Thanks guys! I've watched Tokyo Ghoul, does the manga go further than the anime?

I'll definitely add the rest to my list I'm watching Jojo at the moment actually, only episodes in lol

Also anywhere you suggest to read them? I've got the CR manga app but it doesn't have everything. Thanks again!

It's nice to hear that Übel Blatt is ending soon--only because I like knowing how long a series is before getting into it. Berserk is, somewhat, an exception, even though I only own the first four volumes.

The manga for Tokyo Ghoul goes way, way further then the anime. The anime stopped at the end of the first book series, though they cut out a lot of stuff like Kaneki fighting Arima, the battle in Kanou's lab (which the anime changed too taking place in the ghoul prison), and he never actually joined up with Aogiri. The second series is called Tokyo Ghoul:RE, and takes place a few years after the events of the original. So much has happened that you wouldn't believe, and I won't dare spoil things. You can easily find the chapters on Mangafox, which is the site I use to keep up with manga while waiting for the English volumes to be released.

Ajin (pretty good)

Parasyte (a great manga imo)

Gantz (starts strong)

Pluto (not really horror imo... but worth a read)

Hellsing (Masterpiece / Classic by most readers)

Claymore (if you don't mind female leads, you might like it)

Blade of the Immortal

Also like others have said Berserk, Monster and anything Junji Ito

Made in Abyss is actually a masterpiece! I have watched SO many animes and this one just hit my top 3!
It may seem all innocent and childlike at first, but it gets seriously dark as the story progresses.
It's an emotional rollecoaster with twists and turns (and has one of the best OSTs that I have heard).

(I know you're looking for manga, the manga and the anime are pretty much the same - the manga has beautiful artwork!)

Vinland Saga is incredible and everyone needs to read it. The prologue deceptively makes it look like a generic viking-themed shonen, but then it suddenly shifts in theme to explore the paradoxes of human nature while telling a story of redemption. It's absolutely brilliant.
