Too many. There are far more failures than successful animes in my eyes. I mean I saw black clover on here, if that and SAO are the worst you've seen I wish I could transplant my consciousness into your body and take over your life.

I think the worst one I've seen was called "Juden-chan" or something like that. MC is dumb as a brick and pees all over herself (in glorious detail) every episode. I kid you not.

(There is another character who does the exact same thing)

Bam.

.... So, are those the only anime you've ever watched, or what? Cuz they're almost all insanely popular.

Lmao. Not even close. Thanks for trying, though.

Rail Wars!

A lot of the anime I've seen posted in this topic were just generically bad anime. Rail Wars! was a true abomination. A train crash (trains!) you can't look away from. It's the anime version of those films you've seen that people list as so bad they're good like Birdemic and The Room.

So you're a hipster then?

Seriously, barring classroom of the elite and school days, those are some of the most popular anime in existence.

I can recall Joukamachi no Dandelion, the premise was interesting, and I was expecting something of JoJo-like super-skills, or at least My Hero Academia, instead I got a torrent of cliches, poorly writting scenes and bland characters, I barely managed episode 1 before dropping it.

Jeez, these assumptions are great! I'm 17 and a hipster!? Lit.
I just have problems with K-On doing absolutely nothing, it's just cute girls doing cute things yadayadayada, idgaf about that type of stuff.

SAO has glaring issues, I literally can't say anything that hasn't been said before.

School days is...... *shudders*, an anime with a rape scene, and the most vile MC of all time. Also, harem shows are trash, this happens to be the king of the litter.

Akame ga Kill is the embodiment of "edgy", and it literally killed off the whole main cast just to do it, and lots of the deaths were stupid as hell, (See: Lubbock & Leone.)

DBZ is mindnumbingly boring with the entire episodes of just talking and charging up. Iconic for sure, but it dawdles 99% of the time, more so than most shonen I feel.

Black Clover ACTUALLY hurt my ears, like, I know it's cool to say Asta is annoying, but he truly is. No jokes. It just bites off of Naruto, and does nothing new.

Classroom of the elite is an awful Oregairu clone, with philosophy quotes at the beginning of each episode, where they have absolutely no meaning to what goes on in the show, considering all the fanservice and other trite moments. And the characters are cliche. AND, it has the stereotypical student council president running the school bs, and of COURSE our MC has a mysterious past where he can do anything because of an upbringing in some type of government program/orphanage thingy. God I hate that show.

Tokyo Ghoul is just stupid. Tumblr: The Anime. That's probably the one anime that I hate for the sake of hating it, to be very honest. But then again, probably not, since my friend who loves TG says it's ass compared to the manga (just like what every other manga reader says about TG), so I'll go with that.

Here's the obligatory popular /=/ good comment.

My apologies then, it seems we're on different thought processes here. You listed anime you didn't like for various reasons, whereas the thread was about "worst" anime. For my 2 cents, I took "worst" literally, as a matter of production values vs plot/characters/material. I.e., I can't get into K-On at all and don't watch it, but from what I've seen and from the rabid fan base it has, to say it's "worse" than these low-budget, butcher-job, 13 episode web novel adaptations that litter the anime landscape nowadays would be asinine. And while this is mainly a philosophical debate, for an anime to be "popular" does in fact mean that many people find it "good", as such to claim it as the "worst" anime you've ever seen seems contradictory for the sake of being contradictory, hence my "hipster" comment.

As far as the specific anime you listed: I agree more or less with K-On, can't get into it at all.
SAO is ok, but a far cry from the source material.
School days is, indeed, trash.
I actually thoroughly enjoyed akame, there's not a whole lot of dark action anime around anymore, but to each his own.
DBZ literally created the current blueprint for the shonen battle genre, and was what I grew up on in the 90's, so it's untouchable as far as I'm concerned.
Black Clover is a solid manga, and I'm actually liking the emphasis on character development in the anime, the only complaint anybody has is Asta's voice (which is admittedly grating at the best of times) and that it is derivative. It is my opinion that 10-15 years ago, when Jump was littered with fantastic battle manga, BC wouldn't have even been considered. That said, Jump needed something to fill the void left by Naruto and Bleach, and BC has steadily come into it's own.
Classroom of the Elite had pretty solid production values, but I read the first volume of the novel, and the anime omitted quite a bit. That said, your Oregairu comparison is pretty apt.
Tokyo Ghoul is a decent manga, even if it does change direction in strange ways, but I haven't seen the anime and can't comment too much on it.

For me, a "worst anime" would be something like Smartphone in a different world. Terrible animation quality, generic artwork, a host of cliches, OP protagonist, cookie cutter wish-fulfillment harem crap. Anything where the MC not only has multiple women falling for him, but they all are perfectly ok with sharing him is wish-fulfillment at it's worst. Even the overall premise, "You're summoned to another world but you get to keep your smartphone" is dumb. And there's one or two of those coming out every season it seems. And don't even get me started on Japan's weird obsession with Mahou Shoujo.

I hated the 5 episodes of Naruto I saw. they were just so so boring, and none of the characters were interesting they were all just so "meh" Perhaps I have been spoiled by having watched InuYasha first along with other works from Rumiko Takahashi with amazing characters

Dragonauts was pretty hard to keep watching. About as bad as Tenjou Tenge. Sometimes the fan service is the backbone of a series. I'd watch Tenjou Tenge again but no Dragonauts
