For me, it's the following:

1. Devil May Cry, with Trish, Lady, and Lucia/Nero controlled by players two, three, and four, respectively.

2. Zone of the Enders, with a separate four-player co-op campaign that takes place during the events of the single-player campaign.

3. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, with Blade Wolf controlled by a second player.

4. Cuphead. I know, it has two-player co-op, with player two controlling Mugman. But I wish the developers incorporated distaff counterparts for Cuphead and Mugman as playable characters for four-player co-op, including a Glass Girl and Goblette.

5. The Witcher trilogy, with Ciri, Yennefer, and Triss Merigold controlled by players two, three, and four each.

Which single-player games do you wish had cooperative multiplayer, and why?

I'm gonna have to go with NONE!

Devil May Cry already had multiplayer with 3.

Also no, a character action game like the DMC series would not work at all-_-

Same with MGR, Character Action games aren't meant to be played multiplayer, it goes against the entire point of the genre; levels aren't meant for it lmao.

Skyrim. A full world to explore with three other friends. Make the world bigger, what ever, but I would love to explore Skyrim with friends.

Fate/Extella, on harder difficulties it can be almost impossible to complete levels at times if you lose your fields, having two players would make it a bit easier.

I've pictured this for a while, but I have thought that if Kingdom Hearts would have two-player co op, that would be cool. IF that were possible. 358/2 Days doesn't count.

What about four-player co-op? You know, each player controlling Sora, Donald, Goofy, and a temporary fourth party member?

Alien: Isolation. With two or more players running around working together to distract enemies and avoid the Alien. Whilst the horror in a number of horror games might suffer from co-op, I think Isolation's instant-kill alien would keep things tense

Other than that their is not too many games I desire to see with co-op that don't already have it! I suppose having actual co-op multiplayer in Mirrors Edge: Catalyst rather than a player's ghost would be fun. As would exploring the worlds of Fallout or Skyrim with others. Also, I'm sure Red Faction Guerrilla's already great campaign would have been even better with co-op.

I'm currently (finally) playing Horizon Zero Dawn and sort of feel that way about it. Yes, it would make absolutely no sense storyline wise so I'm not saying Horizon should have multiplayer but the stealth, hunting and combat mechanics would work so perfectly with other players. Having one player set traps while the other distracted the enemy or have one player concentrate on keeping an enemy distracted in melee range while the other strips their armour from range. It would be too fun.

Sleeping Dogs.

I love the open world of Hong Kong as it feels diverse and contains a lot of cultural content. During some of the missions, it felt like co-op could really do wonders to add more excitement to the game. Still waiting for a sequel someday...

It's been a few years ;_;

Matterfall. Underrated, yeah. Still, i wish it would get co op someday. That would make getting the last two trophies much easier, and thus, i would've achieve that platinum. F*** the final boss. And f*** Master difficulty.

Another single-player game franchise I wish had co-op would be Armored Core.

Back then, the Playstation 1 had a multitap peripheral to allow for four-player gameplay, five-player if you were to count the second slot without a multitap of its own plugged. If applied to the first Armored Core for the PS1, up to four-to-five players could form a four/five-man mecha squad so that they could work together as a team to complete missions. Because everything is better with squads, including mecha.

Pokémon. Any Pokémon RPG would be great being able to team up.
