Hi,

So I've been having this internal debate with myself for the past few months now. I've used VRV a bit before and liked the interface quite a bit. However, after finding out that they require me to cancel my CR subscription on the CR website in order to do an account link, I grew skeptical. Will I be able to make an account link and still use the CR website/app whenever I want to come back? Will I still be able to come back to the CR website and have everything be the same as my premium status, or will my premium status on the CR website be gone?

There's no reason to link the accounts if you want to pay separately for each service or use them each as a free member. The purpose of linking the accounts is to just pay for one and get premium access to both. Right now that is the only thing linking accounts accomplishes. Things like your queue and watch history are not shared between the two accounts.

If you pay for VRV (either just the CR channel or the combo pack that includes the CR channel) and link the accounts, then you get premium membership (not Premium plus) on the separate Crunchyroll site, and that membership would be the same as you have by paying for the Crunchyroll membership as its own thing.

Presumably if at some point you ended your premium membership on VRV then you would also lose premium status on the Crunchyroll site. However you could then resubscribe on the Crunchyroll site to get premium membership again. (That would also give premium status on the VRV Crunchyroll channel if you kept the accounts linked but it would just be the CR channel --the other VRV channels wouldn't be premium.)
