I don't know if this is the right place to post, but I just went on my Queue and discovered that my Viewing History was updated. The last anime I watched was Lucky☆Star, which was around early-mid December, but it showed a lot of anime that I haven't even watched. I've enclosed a screenshot.

Two anime were also added to my Queue, which I don't remember even adding. I removed them; there were about three that I removed (Boruto and Bleach).

I remember hearing a while back about Crunchyroll having been hacked (again). Could that have anything to do with this? Any and all explanations for this would be appreciated.

For now, I'm going to change my password. But, seriously, here's to hoping that Crunchyroll fixes its network infrastructures.

Try removing all the device that aren’t familiar to you. They are in the settings.

Huh; this is weird. A bunch of Androids, an iPhone, and a PS4. They're all dated this year.

Well, I deleted them. I hope that helps....but, is there a chance that it could happen again?

If you changed your password and removed unknown device, you should be good

Thank you. I appreciate it, because I never would've suspected that something was up in the My Devices section.

I just wish Crunchy would fix its networks, though. Hackers have been targeting this place for years now.

i don't know how people are being hacked, but there are currently no plans on improving the security on the site.
it's possible though that you may have been keylogged. might want to do a full system scan just to be safe.

Everything I have heard about these instances have nothing to do with a need for Crunchy to "fix its networks." This happens when you have used the same email and password on other sites which do get compromised and the info gets into the hands of other people who then try those credentials on other sites, like Crunchyroll, and when they get in they will do things like add devices and start using your account to watch stuff

Do keep in mind that even after changing your password and removing devices you may continue to see other activity for a short time, but eventually the person using your account will be forced to log back in, and if you are now using a unique username/email/password combo, they won't be able to get back in.

Exactly that. A lot of customers simply have the bad habit of using only one or a limited number of passwords for websites and services. Any service that offers paid subscriptions or other services involving money will inevitably be targeted by criminals looking to make a quick buck or to simply get a free ride on someone else's money. As there are several billions of known email/password combinations out there on the internet, there is a large amount of accounts on any of these services constantly being taken over or silently abused. We hear a lot that affected users have had issues with multiple services within a handful of days, for example both their Netflix and Crunchyroll account or both their Hulu and Crunchyroll account being accessed by intruders.

I have exactly the same problem as OP. I happen to have a Lifelock account and I was notified that it’s Dark Web activity, also known as some of the user data being sold to 3rd party. I have changed my password twice (to unique password) since the incident yet they keep coming back. If this keeps happening I probably just going to shut down my account permanently.

I already did that too! I changed my password again to something I THINK is a bit more secure as well (and unique). We'll see what happens!
Thanks for the reminder.

By any chance, do you routinely use CR on a device using shared public WiFi?
