It’s fairly meh I think, I’ll give it 3 episodes, but this is a possible drop for me

Even by the incredibly low standards of Cute Girls Doing Cute Girls that was mediocre. No hook, no plot, infantile dialogue and paper thin characters we've all seen 1000 times before. It even managed to work in First Episode Sakura Blossoms(tm). Not because there was any point to it but because they had to fill 22 minutes and it was on the check list.

I am, however, impressed at the animation budget that was inexplicably thrown at it.

Pretty average, maybe it's a slow start?

After a long Monday a nice SoL is welcome.

Well, that's one unmotivated teacher, if anything. Something tells me that Tama will likely be the most popular character of the show, but who knows.

On the plus side, i liked how they explained their names. The downside, Hana's cousin. Guess it? It's minor, thankfully.

Nice SOL with good animation. Plus Kanna 2.0. I'm onboard.

I could do with less Gainax-chan and the weird inconsistency with the honorifics. (It's Tama-chan.) Also, it was odd that the premise (aside from slight allusion) was relegated to the stinger.

Ep 1

Of all the cute girl shows this season, this one feels the least unique. I enjoy the genre quite a bit so it definitely doesn't bother me but it might feel too generic for some given the competition.

Anyway, I found the episode to be pretty funny actually. Kamuri grilling Tama on her name with the whole meatball joke was cute. Those two are easily going to be my favorites, I can tell already.

Good Slice of Life anime are calming and I particular enjoy watching them when I had a hard week at work or just not feeling 100%. Everything is upbeat and there is no real story to focus on, so it is just all relaxing (again, when they do the genre right).

Episode 2

One year ago, Hana had the mumps, and as such she missed the high school entrance exam with the subsequent fever, and because of that she's a year behind. And that's why she moved in to live with Shion, who is the landlady of an apartment complex managed by her uncle. Tama sure is great at cooking, while Eiko's sister is also great herself. And then the girls go out for sports tests, and Hana has no athletic ability having not exercised for a long time. Kamuri, on the other hand, is an athletic freak that the track team wants her, but she's just too shy to make it work. And then Hana's leg cramps up at the end, and the girls are awing over the ice cream machine. And Kamuri is walking home without her tights on giving something thought-provoking for Tama. That was pretty cute seeing those girls overthinking things.

This show makes me smile and makes me laugh a little. It's nice. Not everything has to have the intensity turned up to 11

haha, fucking savage

I'm really liking this show, although I think a better title would of been "Late Start" instead of slow. Whatever, looking forward to next week.

Still has some funny and cute moments but no real hook for me. I probably won't drop it but I don't see it being a show I feel compelled to watch day 1 every week especially given how stacked Saturday already is.

Episode 2

This episode we find out that a day before the school entrance exam Hana got the mumps so she had to miss it. Since all her friends will be a year ahead she doesn't want to go to school and be a shut in. That's when her mom gave her the idea of living with Shion and start school somewhere new as they won't know her. During lunch the girls have a picnic and share each others lunch while finding out that Tama is good at cooking and so is Eiko's younger sister. During the sports test Hana is having trouble as she's out of shape not doing anything for the past year. Meanwhile her friends are good at something like Kamuri at running that someone from the track club tried scouting her. The next day Hana comes to school all sore and her lunch is weird as Shion made it look like they broke up.

We find out the reason why Hana is a year behind but that isn't a reason to move. During the sports test it's funny how Hana can't complete one of the test without failing at it. On the other hand her friends did a better job and Kamuri most of all caught the eye of the track club. Shion is funny as she likes to mess with Hana and does so with her lunches.

This is a Monday show if I've ever seen one.
