The first episode is now up on Amazon. No more Anime Strike subscription needed, but you still need a Prime subscription to watch it: LINK

Episode 1

Wow! That opening song is simply amazing.

Juri is desperate for employment seeing that everybody except her sister is out of work. But things took quite the turn there when Tsubasa and Makoto got kidnapped, and they need to get 5 million yen in 30 minutes in order to save them. Luckily for them, the family has a secret weapon in that they can freeze time using some relic that has been in the family. But unbeknownst to them, they are not the only ones who can move in this still world as they would learn the hard way while trying to rescue their family. That was quite a thrilling episode there as I knew something was amiss when it looked all too easy to rescue them. It will be interesting to see what the truth behind the power is, as well as why there are others who can move about when it's a power connected to bloodlines. The story could have been better, but I do like the drama and intrigue.

Pretty impressive visual stuff so far by the guys who used to be Manglobe as this is the studio's first standard-length TV show since forming Geno. The story was predictable, but still the mystery aspect has me interested.

The first episode was basically the animated version of the summary which makes it hard for me to judge this episode. I need at least one more episode to decide if it's worth watching but I already have many questions (that's usually a good sign).

This was...quite interesting.

I kinda feel bad for Juri since she has to live with such a crappy family. The plot itself shows a lot of potential so far and it didn't take long for the first episode to get right down to it with the kidnapping and supernatural power.

To add on to the thriller, I like the momentum this episode from the buildup for the first half that lead to the plot execution of the second half. This is also Geno Studios' first TV anime project and while I can't say the animation production is groundbreaking, it does work well so far for this show.

The manga is also complete so I expect a full adaptation.

Episode 1

Juri is looking for work so that she move out from but is turned down everyone she applies. At the moment she lives at home with her Neet brother and unemployed father. While her sister is at work she is asked to pick up her nephew from school and sends her older brother to pick him up. While walking home they are kidnapped and call Juri for ransom money and they hardly have any time to get to the meeting place. Her grandfather has them place their hands on stone that lets them stop time by pouring some blood on it. When they arrive to where they are keeping her brother and nephew some people show that can move while time is frozen and beat them up. Just as one of them was going to finish Juri off her grandfather is able to teleport both of them to safety. Seeing that they can teleport they use one of the hostages but just than a mysterious being shows up.

Things are tough for Juri as she so badly wants to find work just so that she can get away from her crappy family. Well at least not her entire family is crappy as her sister works hard so that she can raise her kid. When it comes to the power to stop time is pretty cool but after seeing that monster at the end not so much. With the manga being finished we can expect a full adaptation so looking forward to how this will end.

This is one of the seasonal titles that I didn't consider as a primary choice, just to test the waters.

And so far, I find it interesting. Even before it hits the halfway mark, the pacing has already picked up.

Still, I need to see more of its episodes to ascertain how the storyline and its execution would go from here.

That OP is quite psychedelic, but the more I listen to it again, the more I grow to like it.

Damn, shouldn't have read the summary, but there's some good potential here, and it seems like one of my kind of shows.

I do like how quickly they addressed the first thing in my mind of the time stop: how does the world function? They left it to the imagination, which is for the best really, instead of a wishy-washy logic that would inevitably be nitpicked.

There's lot of burning questions, so I'll be sure to check back.

Interesting start. Seems like this is going to turn into a game of see how far people with the power to move through a moment of time can go without getting taken by the guardian boogieman.

Intriguing to say the least, might be the sleeper hit of this season, maybe.

I'll spoil my image for now

Has anyone else tried to watch this from North America? I get 'geographical licensing restrictions' whenever I try to watch the video on Amazon.

That was pretty interesting, and the most original thing I have seen so far this season, looking forward to more. Like the Kite character designs.

That was awesome. Definitely keeping this one.

There is a lot of depth and detail here

The OP and ED were nice too

I'm getting Kekkai Sensen vibes here with the music and how it flips from dark and light, but with a more traditional art syle and animation.
The art reminds me of something else though... I can't quite put my finger on it
