This right here. this is very intriguing. Something about this show feels very suave. I definitely see how people kind of relate it to DRRR. I am getting some odd baccano vibes in it as well myself.

Seems like a deep show might be hidden in here. Not sure if this will be a weekly watched. I actually preferred binging to DRRR so might do the same here.

I will say though ghat this probably has my fav ed so far. Either this or Love after the Rain.

Looks like it is based on a novel published in 2014 and won and the first price award of the Dengeki Novel awards and then they have a collaboration novel with Durarara' and Bacanno's original creator

well I thought it made me wonder what will happen next , got me curious . Not my genre, I don't like deaths and killing but Its a good thing they didn't animate the killing part .
Seeing a cross dresser Kaji and a very laxed detective Ono was somewhat ....interesting

but where is the ramen oh wait it was at ramen stall

I really enjoyed the first episode though a ton of things were being thrown at me information-wise.

Can't wait for the second episode to come out!

Ep 1

Plenty of intrigue and violence to go around. Like others have said, I'm getting DRRR vibes with all of the different factions sharing a single city with intertwining stories and goals. That said, there was so much going on for a premiere episode that I felt a little lost about who was who and what each group was trying to achieve. Not necessarily a slight against the show or the writing, It'll likely warrant another watch at some point though.

It may be far too soon to take sides and choose a character to root for but can we all agree that the mayor's son is a terrible human being that needs to be killed immediately? His father seems shady enough as it is, but the son is a grade-A scumbag.

Hakata Pork Bones Ramens EP 1"Play Ball”

At first I wasnt excited that much but the more it played oh my ! The Hitman / Hitman is interesting

I got Bungo Stray Dogs / Hamatora / Gangsta feels right away I have seen posts that it is similiar to DRRR which is probally true in a sense !

MY main rant it was very hard to keep track of who is who and there is limited infro on the anime sites I found the main leads but this is a big ensemble

They USED THE OP "Stray" by Kishida Kyōdan & The Akeboshi Rockets at the end Kinda of a new trend with some anime first EPS Oh but it rocks !

Episode 2

That Chinese trap guy Lin ended up defecting and instead of killing Banba, he's protecting him from one of his former comrades. Meanwhile Jose is tasked with killing a guy for killing cats, but someone else got to him first and he nearly killed that hitman instead. Lin and Jose meet each other, but instead of a fight to the death, Jose just needed to land one punch as that's all the client requested. Then Saitoh lives it up after getting his paycheck. As it turns out, Lin has a huge debt, and he's being a hitman to pay it off, with Banba willing to pay it off with info about his former employer. But not long after being freed, Lin's sister is killed. That drama sure is something there and those backstories are really interesting. It's a pretty neat touch for these hitmen to carry business cards that only reveal their true occupation when exposed to heat.

I think the show is fine so far but Lin is not a character that I find appealing at the moment. I'm guessing we'll find out more about his past.

Will the story just focus on his revenge from now on though? I wonder.
This anime is pretty straightforward with the torture and killings so we'll have to see.

Lol, more ramen revealed this week. I think it's more of a gimmick now.

Oh boy, that ending was intense.
I wasn't really expecting Lin's little sister to show up (or get killed) so early on.
Also poor Saito doesn't deserve this.

I'm curious about the story behind Lin's cross-dressing. With him coming from a poor background, being in debt five million, yet his sister attending college, a disturbing suspicion that it's related to his sister has crossed my mind several times now.

Dang, didn't think it would escalate so quickly. Wasn't Xianming's defiance just one or two days prior? The timing is a little suspicious. That association sure moved Xianming's sister in a flash. Then again, China is pretty close to Japan (with Tokyo and Beijing being only 3 hours by flight). Xianming is understandably in rage mode. Feels like he'll go Kill Bill on that association.

There was a side lesson to be learned: always bring your business card! You never now, it could save your life.

The direction this show is going seems pretty clear now. Looks like Lin will be driving most of the action. And poor 9-5-kun just can't catch a break.

Ep 2

This was considerably more focused than the first episode, which really did it favors. Lin and Banba have a fun dynamic, I am certain we'll see them teaming up in the future. The mayor's son continues to be a despicable human being. I'm slightly annoyed by how seemingly common hitmen and other career criminals are in this world. I get that mafias and secret organizations exist, but we don't seem to have a single character in this show that isn't involved in something shady. Even the avenger people are like mini hitmen themselves.

Lin's sister being killed is interesting. I'm actually predicting that it isn't the case and that this is an entirely different girl. Lin hasn't seen her in years, and it's already evident that the police are in the mayor's pockets. It wouldn't be difficult to have them fake a report about the girls' identity much like they faked the car "accident". Let's hope that is the case or all hell is about to break loose.

And poor Saitou can't catch a break. Dude needs to quit his day job and ditch town immediately.
