Does anyone know what is going on with the Dub of Skip Beat.

Back in 2016 they had a fundraiser to gain the money needed to release this show in North America. After gaining said money they were suppose to start dubbing the Anime in English and release it on DVD/Bluray.

I have been unable to find any new information about the project newer than 2016.

If anyone has any new information I would Like to hear about it.

Thank You in advance for any new information.

It was funded through Kickstarter and the last shipments of rewards, including DVDs and BDs, took place in November 2017 (with perhaps some a bit later) to backers. They have not yet been made available through retail sales.

Comments on the Kickstarter page indicate that there is some leftover stock of rewards that may be made available to backers, and that there is a plan for retail sales.

A comment from Ann of Pied Piper on January 17 says:

I have two more chances to mitigate the financial damage -- I don't think that I will achieve breakeven, but I can close the gap.

First, Rightstuf returned the remaining inventory to me (or rather, to my mom).

I am planning to offer the remaining inventory for sale to Kickstarter backers only. My mom will be doing all of the fulfillment, and we are working out the logistics -- especially what to use for the packaging.

Then, there is the retail release. This month I will have a powow with Shawne Kleckner about getting his marketing muscle behind the release.

If you want to wade through comments there, here's the link (you can read the comments, but only backers can leave comments.)

UPDATE
Ann (Pied Piper Inc) posted an update on Kickstarter today. This weekend is when backers will have a chance to purchase leftover rewards from the Kickstarter campaign.

She also confirmed the retail release is forthcoming:

Rightstuf is the exclusive outlet for the retail release, and they will be making the pre-order announcement VERY SOON!

- The retail release will be Blu-ray ONLY. No merchandise, no DVD.

- The Blu-ray will be the same discs as we used for the Kickstarter rewards

Note, the packaging will be different from what was done for the Kickstarter rewards.

Here's another one.

The retail release of Blu-Ray is scheduled for June 26, 2018. Pre-orders are now being taken:

Right Stuf is the exclusive retailer.
