I stopped following Crunchyroll's social media outlets after seeing it doesn't hesitate to post SPOILERS to advertise shows. It happens relatively frequently. Is this considered to be acceptable practice?

At first, I thought it was only for old shows (not that it's any more acceptable), but it was currently airing shows too (sometimes even on the day it aired, despite some non-premium members being a week behind). You also tend to pick the most popular scenes from an episode, and it's especially bad when you choose to post "confession" scenes.

On a related note, news posts like this (https://twitter.com/Crunchyroll/status/956942570696986629 - a news article from 2017 posted today) makes me wonder if you require assistance with reviewing content before publication. If so, I have a pretty good resume! huehuehue~

A reply from CR's twitter when I bought it up a few years ago says yes they can do whatever.
They also think if you disagree with how they post shows that they should embarrass you as much as possible for bringing it up.
At the time they where live tweeting a newly released show with in a hour of it going live on the site. Wasn't just screw free users also screw premium users as well.
With like 8mins of the show left they went "oh so people are complaining about this I'm going to go continue it on my personal account now." At that stage the ship had sailed but nope they did not care.

I wouldn't even follow CR on social media again even if they paid me.

I contacted them directly and they were equally dismissive. Seems like they're refusing to do anything until there's enough people upset about it, rather than simply doing what they should be doing now.
