I just have to share my frustration publicly :(

Like you get Crunhyroll email about some anime, BAM Sorry, this video is not available in your region due to licensing restrictions..

Anime Awards? You maybe wonder why you have not watched a given serie? BAM Sorry, this video is not available in your region due to licensing restrictions.

Friend recommends a serie to you BAM Sorry, this video is not available in your region due to licensing restrictions.

Recently I saw a banner for Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, I am like, long time I have watched this one BAM Sorry, this video is not available in your region due to licensing restrictions.

Over the years I have grown really comfortable with Crunchyroll (Lost my previous account, but I use this service since it basically started).. But it's annoying, I want to watch the anime here :(

this could be based more on your location than anything else, or maybe age restrictions, but I'm going more with location. since CR is mostly an American based site and company which allows other countries the option to stream some things that isn't against international laws, licensing and such. sorry you're having issues with the site, but these things do happen when it comes to enduring different locations and/or locations outside of the states.

It's kinda annoying when it happens, aye. It's only happened to me once or twice thankfully, when browsing through older stuff in the library. Which country are you in, if I might ask?
I'm in Scotland, and I'm a little curious/worried about what'll happen when we leave the EU.

You should compare the range of animes people in the US have compared to what you get. One of the big reasons you don't get the location barrier notes is because a lot animes simply do not show up when you browse crunchyroll, that do show up when people in the US do.

But piracy doesn't happen because people want something that's artificially restricted, it happens because people and pirates are just EVIL.

Oh, sorry, I accidentally channelled a Media Management course tutor.

Where do you live currently? You can't get CR in any Asian country. I know you can get it in Latin America, but I recall on a trip to Costa Rica in 2015 one show on my list wasn't licensed there.

In many cases it's probably because you can go to Animelab that it's not available to you on Crunchyroll. While sometimes shows are licensed to multiple companies in a region, often a show is licensed exclusively for a particular region. So if Animelab got an exclusive license to stream in Australia that would be why Crunchyroll doesn't stream it in Australia.
