So I just transferred out of my old High School into a new one in a different state. At this new school I've been looking for fellow weebs, and have found some- but I believe there are more, so I'm creating an anime club at my school in hopes of creating a cool community. However, I don't have many ideas of what we'd do in our meetings. I mean, we could watch and read anime and manga, but I feel that could get boring real fast. Anyone have suggestions?

You could ask members to find and share interesting facts about Japanese history, language and culture. Set up a system to judge which fact is most interesting (perhaps vote on it or have a different judge each week). The person with the most interesting fact gets to choose which anime you will watch next time.

Each week, one member is tasked with finding a new or obscure anime and has to watch it and report back to the group.

Use the book club format where you pick an anime and watch it an episode a week and then discuss it at the club.

Debate days; divide the group into two and then pose a question. So like, one team will be asked "Why does <a certain anime> suck?" while the other team has the "Why is <same anime> amazing?". The following week you have a set time to debate it against each other. Forces people to reflect and analyze an anime, so even if they for example love a particular show then they'll need to find reasons as to why it doesnt work.

Try an anime in a different genre every two weeks or so.
