The Road is one of my favorite books. This thread is for a discussion about the novel in general. How many of you have read it? If so, did you like it? What aspects of the story left the greatest impression on you? Feel free to answer some of these questions or bring up other thoughts about The Road.

For those of you who haven't read this book, be aware that a) it's not a happy story filled with unicorns and rainbows and b) you might find spoilers here (if anyone responds to my thread).

This has been on my list for a while. I started it not long ago, got sidetracked, and never finished. This reminded me though, so I think I'm going to finish up.

Post apocalyptic/Dystopian books have always been one of my favorite genres. This feels like it'll fit right in, all depressing like and whatnot.

This was my favorite book for a long while, and I still think about going back and reading through it again every so often. I've tried getting friends and family to give it a read, but they're either not into reading books or it's not their type of story.
And because I liked the book so much I could never bring myself to watching the movie, because I knew for a fact it wouldn't hold up to my expectations.
