Please help me find this anime. I'm a new premium member but right before I signed up I saw an ad for an anime that showed lots of murders. It looked like the show was called something like "kill town" or "murder city" but now I can't find it! It isn't Kill La Kill.

I can't remember a ton but there were a lot of murders. I remember a blonde guy backing up as a door opened to the right hand side, and the ending shot was a girl looking both ways before ducking into an apartment. I know that isn't much but it was a crunchyroll ad so maybe someone knows wha

If it was for the current season it sounds kind of like Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens, I have only watched a few episodes but your description seems similar.

That doesn't sound familiar as a title, but this synopsis of Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens (which swordandlion suggests) does mention "kill" a lot and seems like it might be what you saw.

"There is a person you desperately want to kill. Now, how do you kill that person?" At a glance, Fukuoka seems like a peaceful town, but crime runs rampant behind the scenes. It's now a battleground for professional killers, with urban legends suggesting that there's even one who specializes in killing professional killers. Assassins, detectives, revenge seekers, informants, torture specialists... When stories are told of these and other professionals of the underground, a "killer of professional killers" appears

If that's it, then I highly recommend it. But if you are looking for 100% gritty criminal action, it's not going to deliver that. It's got a quirky fun side that I find especially appealing.

A second possibility might be Erased—the Japanese name for the show/manga translates to (roughly) “The town where only I am missing”.

If it was recent, involved a lot of death and had a short title, it may have been /kings-game. I only watched the first episode so I don't know if it matches the rest of your description.
