Post Reply No Premium and I keep getting billed to credit card.

I haven't had the Premium membership I've paid for since Early January and I just checked my online bank statement to find I've been charged again, for a service I am not getting.

I've sent five different emails to the support and have only ever gotten responses back saying they need my information. Upon submission of said information, that's it. I don't get any other responses, no confirmations, no actions. I'm very upset with the support (or lack thereof).

Crunchyroll needs phone or live chat support, and I really need this settled ASAP. Is there no other contact methods we can use?

Issues like this is the reason why I prefer to manually renew my subscriptions. It's probably a good idea to not store your credit card on the site, as well - as a precautionary measure. That said, their customer service is the slowest I've ever come across anywhere. I'm having issues starting a new subscription right now, and I kind of wish I'd activated auto-renewal for once

Sorry, but you have no choice. Even if you prepay for a year, they refuse to take your CC# off your account until your subscription expires or you cancel it early. Nor can you designate it as only for subscription use. It's little wonder that they can't come up with excuses fast enough to delete all the posts from people (who all must have been hacked somewhere else, because their system will never be hacked ) begging for help with false charges. And it's been this way for years, since Shinji sold out.

Why? "Because everyone does it."
That's not true, here are screen shots. "It's so we can renew it."
Closer to the truth, but I don't want you to. "It's our policy."
Policy = Because I said so. It's not law. "Well, if you don't like it then leave."
Thank you, I did.

I'm amazed no one has sued them yet for their "Cancel anytime" lie about trial periods. They won't let you cancel within the first day or two because they need to verify they can bill you first... for the subscription you're cancelling. Many people will forget to do it once they're allowed to, just as planned.
Nor can you cancel near the end of the trial period, because their system jumps the gun and starts the billing process.
Out of a 14-day period, they generally only let you cancel on the 10 days you're least likely to try.

Unless they changed it they did allow you to cancel a 3 month and 12 subscription early with out any penalty. Just the thing was if the remaining time was under 30 days left and you would loose the remaining time for some reason. Likely hood was they treated it the same as the 30 day trial.

Even then do what I did and use the gift memberships as they aren't tired to anything. As they are gifts after all. Also no risk of it renewing as it isn't something that can renew.
So even if you buy a gift membership and not use it for X (under 12) months you can still remove any pre appoved payment agreement in paypal and the site for CC as soon as you have paid for the gift membership.
No idea why more people don't do it let alone recommend it.

If you've been able to do the gift membership thing the way you describe, that's great. The last I had heard was that they'd added some devil in the details.

But I'm not sure what penalty they could add that's worse than having to lose the remainder of a subscription you paid for, just to take your credit card off.
