As a kid, the majority of animation and voice errors that landed itself into infamy went way over my head. But even as a kid, I still had some problems with the series, even without the voice and animation errors, including:

If I were to watch the series again as an adult, all the way to the end, I would have found it as even more awful than it was when I was a kid. But then again, the numerous Transformers cartoons were designed to sell toys, first and foremost, without showing any regard to quality storytelling or character development.

I didn't mind Armada it gave some decent development to my favorite character Starscream.

I couldn't stand more than like 3 episodes of Energon though. I was always more into Beat Wars than Transformers.
As the original Transformer cartoon was before my time and the newer series were after my time.

I think Armada told a good story, and I really liked how Starscream, Sideways and Unicron were handled.

Armada gets a pass because it gave us an awesome version of Starscream.

Now Energon was pure crap.

At first I thought you were talking about the miniature transformers that were around when I was a kid (1989's Off Road Patrol). However, after a quick internet search, it appears you are talking about a series 10 or 12 years after I stopped watching/playing.

I wasn't around when Transformers made it big in 1987. However, I was a pre-adolescent when Transformers Armada came out on Cartoon Network, and watched the series all the way to the end.

Sorry if you didn't know the series existed until now.
