So I'm a pessimist with the worst luck who longs to be an optimist.
There are a few things I don't total understand regarding some of the return policies, damaged items, and such that I'd feel better getting addressed in some form before dropping my limited finances on something big.

Question: Say I order something that says it's "by Funimation" does that mean it's (1) shipped by Funimation's shipping department or (2) just manufactured by Funimation, but shipped by the awesome people at Crunchyroll?

Hypothetical situation: Say I order said item "by Funimation" and an alligator chews on my box before it reaches my home and the thing inside is a limited edition box with a terrible split down the side (aside from the alligator, it's happened). How would that play out? Is it covered under Crunchyroll's warranty as a damaged item thus eligible for return? Or does Funimation (assuming it's a 3rd-party, Funimation situation) have the final say in regards to warranty/returns? Do I have to deal with them? Does Crunchyroll?

Thanks for hearing me out. I want to buy anime, but my meager income limits me so making it count with an undamaged item matters a whole ton to me. Thanks again and any reply is appreciated. Oh, also input from others (my Crunchyroll Store sempai?) lurking about who have had similar situations.

Thanks!

Damaged Item/Warranty Policy

In the event that your purchase was damaged upon receipt, please contact us immediately with your order information and photos of the damaged product. Our Customer Support team will contact you to resolve your issue.

If the damaged item is from a 3P vendor, Customer Support will contact the vendor.

In the event that you wish to return your warranty product, Crunchyroll will provide you with a pre-paid shipping label.

International customers must return warranty products at their own expense, but Crunchyroll will reimburse you up to 30 USD once we have received the return shipment and verified that it is a valid warranty claim.

Replacement is subject to availability of items. In the event that the damaged item is out of stock, we reserve the right to issue a full refund instead.

sometimes blurays get a significant discount, so it's worth checking other sites like Amazon. you might strike a better deal that way.
(Amazon also offers free shipping as an additional bonus)

Most items are are dispatched our own warehouse. There are some 3rd party vendors selling through our storefront, like YesAnime or Right Stuf, who have their own fulfillment.

You will always deal with us first regarding returns, refunds, or warranty. If a 3rd party vendor is involved (who may have different policies), we'll forward the request on your behalf. If anything happens, just get in touch with us through our contact form.
