I'm behind on anime in the same way I'm behind on movies, books, live-action Netflix originals.... I'm behind on everything, to the point at which I mostly have made peace with it. Sometimes too many titles show up at once and I know I'm going to lose this game even harder than before, but what can you do. There's so much content now.

It doesn't help that I'm subscribed to MUBI, a movie-streaming service that keeps each title for only 30 days. There have been times when I have had to put all sorts of other things on the back burner just so I could watch something on MUBI before it leaves. The struggle is real.

All I can do is take it one anime series at a time, for the most part.

Yes and no. This season there are actually a few shows that I am enjoying but am not up to date on. Generally, though, I don't necessarily look at it as being behind so much as it's an indication that there's just something about the show I'm not enjoying, even if I haven't really thought about what that thing is yet.

I admit to the fact that I constantly add anime to my queue, I'll never get through it all at the rate I'm going,

I am pretty good at keeping on top of the anime I'm watching. I'm currently watching 21 anime from this season and watching 5 anime from shows I've always wanted to watch (Konosuba, Steins;Gate, New Game, My Hero Academia and Fate/Stay Night). I have enough free time and I always leave some time to do actual studying outside for University as anime is pretty much the only thing I consume, outside of a good book every once and a while (just finished House of Leaves, would recommend).

There was 1 time that I did fall behind on all the anime that I watch that's not on Crunchyroll (Mitsuboshi Colours, Nanatsu no Bitoku, After the Rain, Killing Bites, Kokkoku and Hakumei and Mikochi) but I quickly binged all the episodes I missed on Sunday. It's good because the episodes are all pretty spread out, only Thursday and Saturday are really packed for me.

Pretty up-to-date with seasonals, except for Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja Scrolls. I didn't initially know that that one was a sequel, so I spent the past 1.5 month watching the first season. With seasonals, from Sunday to Saturday, my episode release distribution is: 4-6-5-1-6-9-8. Since some days are heavily skewed, I adjusted my watching distribution to something like: 6-6-5-3-5-6-8. Much more comfortable (and manageable) watching in this manner.

It's a completely different story with non-seasonals. Currently, I'm watching two non-airing shows at a daily pace.Yet, I have hundreds of series that I want to check out. I'm having a fun time at the present, so I'm not in any rush. It's unfortunate and highly likely that I won't be able to check all those out within the next decade or two, but, on the plus side, I'll always have something to look forward to. Though that's not even factoring in the live action material that I am currently watching or want to checkout...

I have no interest in being up-to-date with anime, ergo "indefinitely behind."

Yes, I am behind and I prefer it that way, because now there is always something to watch.

pretty much always up to date with current series that i like to watch (14 here & 7 elsewhere this season).

as far as older shows in queue, i get to them when i have time. if they been sitting in queue for a while they get the axe. i dont try to watch everything. i dont even try to watch everything good. i watch what i like. now if only CRoll keeps Ergo Proxy around long enough for me to finish it this time..

Thanks for your answers / Again for myself I am trying / its funny I used to watch 40-50 shows in a season and was on schedule I actualy think having FUNI / CR as rivals was exciting for me / I feel like I lost a friend watching a lot of anime there,

One good thing though the % of really good anime has gone up so I tend to dwell on them more

Just think Spring 2018 is loaded with goodies

I have so many different anime I plan to watch, try to keep up to date on seasonal ones that catch my eye... but the rest get put into the 'watch later list. So That's a fairly vast list by now and I defiently do not have enough time too watch them all ????

I'm incredibly behind on anime. I have a huge list in my queue that I keep updating without finishing one series. My main issue is that I really want to take the time and enjoy the show that I'm watching instead of just watching it for the sake of cleaning up my queue. And besides
anime, I also have long queue on Netflix and I have a cinema subscription that I abuse. The longer I wait, the more I'm getting the feeling that I might well never finish my queue.

Behind? I've never thought of anime-watching as a race to kept up with. It's not the end of the world for me to miss out on what anyone else likes and talks about from the last few months.

I have so many shows in my queue right now that if I never added another show, and watched as I usually do, I would probably never watch them all.
