So, did not see any posts about this game yet, which is a shame since it's an awesome game IMO. So here we go!

What do you guys and girls think of Warhammer Vermintide 2? First impressions?
Didya play the first game? If so, what do you think they improved or took away?
Do you like how the melee/range combat is? The enemy AI?
Community? Like it or naw? Loot system? Yay or nay?
Play it a lot or didya just leave it hanging after playing a bit?
Ya think it'll survive? and what do you wish from the game?

Me?
Yes, I like the game, it's pretty fun. It sure has it's issues like the bloody rattling gunners shooting through walls...
The first game was a mess with bugs as well, but the gameplay is very fun, similar to L4D, and I love that game.
With the added career system, it adds more personality to the characters I feel, in the way that you don't just pick someone for their weapons, but for their passive and ability too.

Gimme your opinions on the game. Also how your luck with the community has been. Mine has been pretty boring with no one using mic, possibly cause I only play on veteran for now (still a scrub! ), or I've played with friends on discord.

That is all! *Woosh sounds*

I did play the first game. I quit eventually because the RNG refused to give me weapons for any of the characters except the one I don't play.

The sequel's fun. The new careers and loot system are nice, but it's buggy, and has a lot of quality control issues: incorrect subtitles, talents/items no longer function in the way their description says they do (or don't function at all), taking hits because the game ignored that you were blocking, ratling gunners shooting through walls, etc.

Some of the boss encounters feel like they require more luck than skill (Burblespue).Host migration also needs work: I've lost count of how often everyone's time was completely wasted because the host crashed or left the game.

I can forgive it's game-balance and unpolished foibles, but I feel like they should have resolved some of the larger issues (like a lack of proper host migration) prior to release.

Hmm....so far based on my experience from the game

What I like:

- The feel of the combat system. You are punished for making mistakes and anything can kill you, sometimes even getting lost a little can cause you your life. I don't find the game difficult but you will have to learn to adapt.
- The class system variety. I think there's a suitable gameplay style for just about anyone.
- Game emphasizes on teamwork and it's impossible to carry all by yourself.
- No toxicity. So far, I've not encountered much toxicity except for just one game and even that was minor

What I dislike:

- The RNG system. It's just so random. I often get junk that feels useless.
- Some buggy/technical fixes that's needed. I randomly crash on occasions and sometimes, there are places that monsters can hit me that shouldn't be.
- The party system. This needs a fix as a host can kick a player out right before finishing up a game. It's literally abuse and I experienced it.

That's pretty much it so far. I need to play more to understand the game better but so far, it's a decent game.

All I can recommend is to make sure you're taking advantage of the crafting system. I scrap nearly everything for materials and just craft the specific items/stats I want. Probably easiest to do if you pick the character and class you enjoy most and focus on gearing them for a bit.

Does that sort of thing happen often? Including the beta, I have something like 80 hours in the game and I've only seen a kick vote once - granted I saw no reason to kick the guy when it did occur. It was in the lobby after a mission. We hadn't failed it, so I think the others were just annoyed that a low level player was on Champion as a matter of principle.

For the most part, the community has seemed really easy-going.
