Happy Thursday everyone! We have a new addition to the catalog today, the classic Akira is now available on Crunchyroll for members in the United States and Canada!

Clandestine army activities threaten the war torn city of Neo-Tokyo when a mysterious being with powerful psychic abilities escapes his prison and inadvertently draws a violent motorcycle gang into a heinous web of experimentation. As a result, a biker with a twisted mind embarks on a path of war, seeking revenge against a society what once called him weak.

Rainy Cocoa and Rainy Cocoa, Welcome to Rainy Color both launch today at 5pm PT for members in the following territories: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark. Finland.

Aoi’s soaked by a sudden rainstorm and takes shelter at Rainy Color, a cozy café where the warmth of the staff compliments the sweet hot cocoa he’s served. When he falls into a job at the café he feels like things are finally looking up— until Keiichi Iwase, the man he couldn’t help but stare at on the train, shows up.

After a mysterious virus wipes out ninety percent of humanity, vampires emerge from the recesses of the earth to enslave mankind, treating them like livestock.

And before we start with the same, keep in mind that these seasons come on Funimation's side, not YTV, as it happened with S3 and S4. The obvious thing is that CR or Funimation should expand it to the same territories as S3 and S4 but... you know the rest: CR or Funi don't care (at least, at the moment).

Thanks.

Another lie of Yowu falls, that supposedly according to them an American company had the rights of Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign for Latin America.

Giving the confidence to Yowu is the same as believing Maduro and socialism can change Venezuela. Also, don't forget the fact that the CR-Funi deal regarding catalog titles doesn't consider non-English speaking territories, despite Funi could have the license to those series (that's why Funi put some series on Amazon).

Ironically, Funimation is the company that is actually caring LATAM more than Yowu on simulcast titles. So there.

Thank you for bringing Sereph of the End to Crunchyroll! I watched that on Hulu until they went subscription only and I never saw the end! Now I can binge it and get some closure!

Hulu's free view option was taken over by Yahoo View, and you can watch shows there:

Is there any news on the second season of Seraph of the End? Funimation has licensed it but I don't see it streaming on their site.

Apparently it aired split cour, so both here and there it's all counted as a single 24-episode first season.

Episodes 1-12: https://myanimelist.net/anime/26243/Owari_no_Seraph
Episodes 13-24: https://myanimelist.net/anime/28927/Owari_no_Seraph__Nagoya_Kessen-hen

Hmm, guess this is a Sawano OST I've never listened to, gotta remedy that.

Im not gonna sit here and demand that each country get their own catalog releases but if for example one country gets 1 release is there no way of just showing that instead of using one that said country doesn't get as the picture for the forum post for us to only find out we don't get to watch it anyway?

It sounds Childish but I think people would appreciate not getting their hopes up about watching the new anime to then find out they can't stream it anyway.

@Sprigganz It looks like AnimeLab has the Australia/NZ rights for Owari no Seraph, can you watch it here? https://www.animelab.com/shows/seraph-of-the-end-vampire-reign

Also, for anyone in France: https://www.wakanim.tv/fr/v2/catalogue/show/106/seraph-of-the-end (Licensor: Anime Limited)

Anime Limited apparently licensed the simulcast to Viewster for "United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg," but I looked on Viewster's site and didn't find it, don't know if that's because I'm in the US or because Anime Limited no longer has it streaming there.

Viewster geofilters, so would need someone from one of those countries (or recognized as being from one of those countries by some mysterious digital means) to see if they still have access to it.

Viewster lost the rights or merely didn't extend on them for majority of their anime. That link for example mentioned Arslan, Plastic Memories and Seraph - all gone now. Shame as Viewster was only place to watch a lot of it and I indeed saw Arslan and Seraph to the End on there back in the day. Animax is the same (can't find Nisekoi anywhere these days), the remaining catalogues are sparse and most available elsewhere anyway so it's all about the big two of Netflix and Crunchyroll for access to UK anime these days (and to lesser degree Amazon, HiDive and Funimation).

Seraph to the End is on Netflix UK these days though if people are interested in it (bloody loved the OP in that show).
