Why did I think of that 91 Days or some anime that I think had bit of a similar premise.

Why are people still mad when Amazon gets shows, they got rid of the double paywall, which was what everyone was complaining about. They simulcast, unlike when Netflix airs shows that air on Japanese tv.

More appropriately annoyed, not mad.

You have two types of people:
1. People who wanted the double paywall gone.
2. People who wants Amazon to get out of the anime simulcasting game.

I am #2. Please do not tell me to get Prime because I do not want one. I do not need one. I have never had one since Prime came to fruition. I do not want to drop $100 for Prime. I do not care about 2 days/1 day shipping. I do not care about the "goodies" included in a Prime membership. I DO NOT CARE ABOUT PRIME.

I am also someone who practices illegal streaming abstinence. If something doesn't end up on CR or Netflix, I actually don't watch the said series whether you believe me or not. I haven't even watched shows like Maid In Abyss, Land of Lustrous, ReCreators and all those other high profile shows that Amazon snatched in 2017. I do want to point out how people bitch about how pirating is bad yet when a series doesn't end up on their preferred service they turn into hypocrites, pirate it and try to justify it. I am no such hypocrite. That is why I am "annoyed" because I will never end up watching it, but hey I gotta make some sacrifices. It's a shame that of all series, Vinland Saga has officially joined my unwatchable void.

The setting intrigues me as it's pretty rare in anime.

Amazon, however, is the kiss of death for an anime series as far as I'm concerned.

Took long enough, but at least it's finally happening. But it's going to be on Amazon, huh? Oh, well. Can't help it.

Vinland Saga would actually have been a good one to be picked up by Netflix. It has some dry stretches that the normal tv to bluray model may not have enough patience for.

While little known, it is possible to subscribe to Prime Video only, and on a monthly basis, for $8.99 per month.

Like Prime itself, it also has a 30 day free trial, so you could sign up for that, watch as many of those missed shows as possible, and then cancel if you didn't want to pay the price to continue.
