Theoretical scenario, a nuclear missile is flying over to U.S that will be detonated in 10 minutes. You have 10 minutes to disarm it and or shelter yourself. God bless

P.S Every nuclear warhead has a 0.1% chance to turn earth into a sun

thanks to American's anti nuclear option (the button) there's really nothing we can do about it. it depends on location as to what area/s will be effected. in most cases, due to fallout, that'll get the inner coast, however east/west are pretty much screwed, as well as other key locations. I don't fear nuclear anymore, that's a poor country thing, EMP and/or biological is the newest rave these days. due to fallout there really isn't a proper shelter either unless it's several feet below the surface, not just buried remotely a few feet. fallout is a lethal and dangerous thing, it seeps into the soil and causes so many nasty things to transpire.

however, in theory, we've already seen what happens when two nuclear bombs (various sizes) are dropped, no one took shelter and there were still survivors. guess we hope for the best and have faith that there are enough radiation sickness pills to go around to the survivors.

One of the greatest concerns of contemporary nuclear escalation is that just as drone wars are depersonalizing citizen deaths, we are creating a nation callous to "small scale" military actions. No details, please. We just need to be reassured that we're fighting "the bad guys." We can stay nice and emotionally distant from any regional wars in other lands. So what if we decide to nuke some innocent people? "They" did it first . . .

And so what if there is "small scale" radiation in a certain embattled area of the world, post nuclear attack? WE don't have to live there. It'll "heal," just like that nuclear breakdown in the Japanese earthquake a few years ago. Notice how no one thinks about that anymore? It's only the experts who realize how damaged and precarious situations like that remain for years. Not to mention our inability to dispose of nuclear waste.

We are minimizing this dangerous trend in an astonishingly naive way. And battles will be fought, as they already are, in third-world countries mostly guilty of only being in the way or having valuable assets (think Afghan rare minerals). They will be chess pieces on our superpower playing board. Cold-blooded doesn't begin to describe this obscenity. For we will inevitably "normalize" this behavior while the planet and its people continue to suffer.

And those who pass on out of this disabled world will be asked by their higher angels: "Did you even TRY to work things out?"

As the writer at http://ultius.pro/ I'd say True leaders forge new pathways . . . not this wearisome and terrible repetition.
