Not a fan of scented candles for the most part, their aromas are generally far too strong and leave my throat feeling tight for some reason. I like beeswax candles since they have a far more subtle sweet fragrance.

I adore candles, I burn them often. either in candle magic, or just enjoying the scent or something to flicker while I'm doing something such as writing, typing or just enjoying the evening. granted, they are a great double, they are wonderful for light source as well. as power goes out often in my area, it's best to have a few on paw. and yes, I have a large selection of candles. it's nothing for me to buy one or two each month when I go to the store, I typically "burn" through one in two months so it balances out well.

I always have a wood woodwick candles burning in my room, much to the begrudgement of my girlfriend. She doesn't like the sound of woodwick candles but I found it soothing especially on these cold winter like days when it is raining outside. I do think sometimes I spend too much money on candles. I think that I'd just waste the money on something else however, a single woodwick candle is in the range of $30-50US for reference..

I enjoy candles sometimes, but I never light them. I've had a berry-scented candle in my bathroom for quite some time now, and even though I've never lighted it I can still smell it, which is very nice!

How do you feel about candles? I'm talking about the scented candles unless you enjoy unscented. Do you have a collection of candles? Why do we enjoy candles so much?

What do you think?

Can't say that I have a collection of them, by they certainly look pretty lighting up an entirely dark room.

I love candles! Especially if it is a scent I enjoy. There's also something nice about the flame to me.

Also, even though this makes me sounds like a complete fatty, the smell when you blow them out always reminds me of birthday cake.

Anything scented was banned in the house growing up. But yeah a candle can be relaxing.
