I really like this show, and have already watched the first two episodes three times.

Like all these anthropomorphic high school girls shows, you probably shouldn't push the logic too much. Look at Kan Colle. Those girls are "fated" to be modeled after historic WWII ships. Stop and think. What did the parents of a ship look like???? Or Upotte? What do the parents of a girl as a gun look like. Don't push the logic too far. I think the whole point of the show is showing girls running around and being idol singers. As for their age, well, in anime it seems like over 80% of the main characters are in high school, or lower. Think of Rory the Reaper. She is over 900 years old and looks like a gothic loli. Just how old is the vampire ruler in Dance in the Vampire Bund?

In my view the only creepy part is that trainer.

I wash chatting with some friends and one asked me about this show. My reply: A nice time waster. Note horrible, not great..it just is. I'll keep watching unless something more important comes along.

What a frenzied moment that was.
Didn't they maintain an exhausting pace?
'Twas a thrilling absoutely chilling
Running of our MC's opening race.

I'm sorry, I really enjoyed this, but the Ascot Gavotte has been stuck in my head since I first heard of this show.

But judging by the reactions of some of the less enthused viewers, I think the song would be more appropriate for them than me. I'm more akin to Eliza. "C'mon Special Week! Move your bloomin' arse!"

I have some... ideas for this show and this thread. I don't know if I'll actually do them, but maybe teasing them will make me feel obligated to do so.

Anyway, I quite enjoyed this. It's good fun.

Freakin' horse girl idols. God, I love Japan.

Special Week, dark bay or brown with a white blaze. Won 10 of 17 races. Only problem is that Special Week is a stallion out to stud right now.

Cygames be like

Shingeki no Bahamut? You get an anime
Granblue Fantasy? You get an anime
Umamusume? You get an anime

All their games be getting an anime

When Princess Connect? Well, it's partially an anime already

Also, I liked the part where Haru stuck out her arms like "Don't leave me behind!"

A bit too much horsing around in the first episode. Had to give up when Special & Weak tripped over her own two feet. Plus, Prospective Pokegirl Trainer didn't even try to calm her down with sugar cubes before gripping her assets.

All those horse racing references were great. From the groping and subsequent back kick, to Special Week's name, to being her own farrier. And all those beautiful images of the racetrack!

It's got cute girls, nice voices, good animation so far, and it's made me smile and chuckle a few times already.

Good enough for me.

The "Gotta Go Fast" leaning forward trope is all over fiction. The speedsters of the DC and Marvel universes are especially guilty of it. It plays into an illusion in art of enhanced motion by shifting the balance of the subject forward even though in real life runners keep their center of gravity over their legs. It also plays into people's experiences that when facing a stiff wind they have to lean into it which creates a certain expectation that someone going at superhuman speeds would similarly need to lean forward against the resistance.

It is, yes. But it's not as if there aren't plenty of anime with sports or track focus in particular that show proper running form. If you must, for some perverse reason, base an entire show around running high school girls as livestock the least you could do is make the running proper. Seeing as running is virtually the entire focus of your show.

And by extension the exceptionally weird and shitty freemium mobile game you're trying to sell with it. >.>

In the meanwhile Shadowverse gets none.

The running style is based on the long stride of a horse's gallop, not a high school track team. Don't look at it as girls pretending to be horses, but fillies pretending to be human. Even the divots are true to form.
