First episode is now up: http://www.crunchyroll.com/kakuriyo-bed-breakfast-for-spirits-/episode-1-im-marrying-into-an-inn-for-spirits-768007

Episode 1

And so it begins with Aoi stumbling into Tenjinya that she inherited, and it's massive debt that comes along with it thanks to her grandfather. She could have swept it under the rug by marrying an ogre, but she doesn't want that at all. But with her cooking skills, the inn definitelycould use someone to cook for these demons. Well, that was a pretty lethargic start here, but at least things could get interesting.

Episode 1

The first episode we are introduce to Aoi who as a small child was taken in by her grandfather and happens to see ayakashi. Now as a grown woman she lives alone once more as her grandfather has passed away but she good with the little money he left her to live on. However one day she is abducted by a ayakashi and taken to Tenjin-ya. This ayakashi claims that she will be his wife as her grandfather has a debt to pay off. So it seems the grandfather had a reason for taking in her. Thats sad because now she doubts if her grandfather ever cared about it her? Well not wanting to get married she now has to work off a one hundred million debt. The first episode was alright so ill give it another two before deciding to follow it.

Hmm...I think this first episode was okay. We got Aoi who can apparently see spirits but she's also a hardworker. I kinda like that as part of her character.

It didn't really take long for her to encounter a strange character with a mask. We already see a little bit of her past and pretty sure that's going to be recurring throughout the show as we learn more about Aoi. The connection she has with that ayakashi will probably be a big part of the show as he calls her his "bride".

Seems like a really lighthearted show so far.

Now I'm hoping this series will be able to develop its plot more as anime like this can be repetitive at times.

Wait wait wait. A female lead who isn't an underage high school girl?

What madness is this?

IDK- it is only the first episode, but my feelings were mixed. It all felt just a bit contrived all the same. Sure I can understand the MC refusing to marry anyone who just turned up on her doorstep one day claiming her as his bride, but she never really asked any questions herself. He was the one who informed her how it all came about. Nor did she stop to ask what would happen if she refused him. For someone who suddenly found themselves in an unknown place with (at least I assume so, she never asked!) no way to get home on her own, she seemed to lack any considerations for her new circumstances that most sensible people would feel. Just this stubborn insistence to work off the debt without knowing anything about this new world of hers.

But I agree it is nice to have a female lead who is an actual adult.

Perhaps in setting, with cute girls replaced by dashing guys. Though the circumstances of the main character are very different. Yuzu wasn't exactly dodging a marriage or paying a relative's debt.

Aoi is in quite a predicament. As Cobaltseas, some of her behavior (or lack of in certain sense) is odd. But part that maybe writing and another pat might be that she's also an abnormal person (lonesome upbringing and continuous interactions with ayakashi) herself. That's quite messed up if her grandfather didn't tell her about it. Perhaps he thought Aoi would be protected by the inn master, but not informing her of the arrangement would yield some problems.

My josei senses are tingling! The MC is led around by the nose a tad too much for my liking in the first episode, but the setting and overall tone of a traditional folktale substantially make up for it. And the promise of more food porn in the form of a small restaurant don't hurt at all.

I'd have to watch more, but I liked the first episode even though I can already see that we're going to get a love triangle between the Ogre, Aoi and the fox.

But I'm also a sucker for these type of series...

Aoi, our mildly braindead protagonist, does what any self-respecting female lead does in a show of this type: squares her shoulders, stiffens her neck, and runs straight into a wall until some kindly passing boy puts her in her place. Fortunately her first pokemon protector is Ninetails. Hopefully she's going to last long enough to get back to feeding the kappa capo before she finally realizes that she does want to marry the ogre after all.

I sensed the love triangle aspect a mile away. I also have another possible theory about Ginji that I will keep to myself. (And I know nothing about the manga. LOL.)

Japanese folklore based series tend to catch my interests as well. Ishikawa Kaito voicing a character in this is an added bonus for me.
