To provide context I'll explain; my wife and I are interested in acquiring several pieces of Japanese furniture; a kotatsu and a floor sofa, specifically.

http://www.emoor.jp/fs/emoor/st-angolo

The link provided is a Japanese furniture shop with the sofa we're looking for as a point of reference.

Anyway, I've not been able to discover an avenue to purchase these in North Texas, so now I'm turning to online, and I thought I might ask the community here.

We're interested in a completely renovated set up, and since we have to buy all new furniture, now seems the best time. We lost a great deal in a tornado that hit, and we simply have no desire to buy or replace with exactly the same. We're taking the money and constructing a new home somewhere else and exploring new home decor and design. If you have any knowledge or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

I've moved this to Advice, Info, Recommendations.

A quick search for kotatsu on Amazon did turn up some results. Not sure anything that suits your desired decor, but might be worth browsing through if you haven't already.

Maybe Rakuten? global.rakuten.com

The vendor translations can vary from English to Engrish to words tossed in a blender. I've never bought anything on the site, I just like to look, and usually just for Hanshin Tigers gear.

There are many options for you. If you want that particular piece, you could contact and ask about international shipping. Or the usual route of shopping via a"Proxy" service. basically these are places that buy what you want, charge you shipping, and usually a small fee. They got to go shopping, you got your item, and they get paid. I personally trust https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/?afid=Z21421 but your free to look up other proxy services. compare rates and look up reviews. It can feel hard to trust at first, but eventually you realize its no different then shopping anywhere online.

That floor sofa looks nice but just keep in mind that its an on sale item @ 18990(Roughly $190 USD) so that item may go fast.

A similar one but not so much a wrap around, a bit more modern though maybe not what your looking for.

PROTIP: If your not aware easy way to convert YEN is drop last two ##s of the price and thats pretty close to what it is in US dollars.
