Still giggling over the " favorite celebrity" scene – do voice actors count as celebrities.

Bonus points for real looking scenes, it fits well with this anime

I'm pretty sure those are real scenes, just blurred a little to help blend in. I've seen them in other anime as well (March comes like a Lion's next ep preview comes to mind).

Having come back from Japan recently, they do bring back memories of gazillion stores over multiple floors

Well the episode ended with my thoughts exactly- the cuteness was unbelievable. Whether you find it a bit too much for your taste will depend on the viewer. For me personally, there was a just a bit too much of the cute, that detracted from the other things I might have liked about the anime.

Love this show! The animation is just, is everyone appreciating it as much as me? It's not just that it looks like you can swim in their eyes it's the different angles and POV the camera is taking. You don't realize but almost all anime is "shot" exactly the same but this show is mixing things up and it's great! Kudos to the director. And I am the last person to like photos used for backgrounds but this show even made that work. School was fun, I thought Tsubassa and Rukki were older too The kawaii from Moeta though...too...much...but need more.
Can't believe this isn't more popular and the next episode preview sounds like Rukki gets to shine, can't wait.

And I didn't even mention sensei, kowaii...but in a good way

The production is a cut above for a CGDCT show. The camera angle is quit dynamic as are the character animations. It's not mind blowing, but it certainly is a welcome step up from most.

Yeah, and the character designs definitely feel less cookie cutter as well, especially with Moeta. At first glance she seems the typical cute girl show lead but there's something just off enough about her design, particularly in her face, that makes her feel less "cute" (even though she's still adorable in her own way).

Slow Start from last season had me feeling much the same way, not so much in relation to specifics but more in relation to quality. Especially in a season full of Cute Girls shows, and even with it's own shortcomings and flaws, Slow Start did a notable job of just looking really polished and articulated.

Slow Start wasn't amazing, but it was way better than it got credit for. I almost missed it because it was flying so low under the radar, but I'm glad I didn't.

Episode 3

And now I know why Kaos is so terrible at drawing manga, and that's because she's failing to relate to the characters. Case in point, her manga about high school girls that's not an accurate reflection of what they are supposed to be going to show that she has been living under a rock. It doesn't help that her storyboard is a disaster and the food isn't even drawn right. And then to help Kaos improve her drawing, Ruki has her drawing Koyumi's busty figure, and that leads to all sorts of issues. While that led to all sorts of awkward situations, it did get some high-quality sketches as reference for Kaos to go on. And it ends with Kaos getting sick, and all she needs is some home comfort and she feels well. That was quite a wild series of events, and Kaos still has a long, long way to go.

Episode 3:

Kaos definitely needs to work on her manga drawing skills. Tsubasa may be a bit critical but she isn't wrong about it.

Also, I feel the episode really made Koizuka look like an eyecandy. I was not expecting that much fan service in this series already. Still, I personally think Tsubasa is still best girl in the show.

I keep wanting Kaos to write a manga about a demon princess who is trying to fit in as a normal high school girl and failing badly.
