The key to that is to use one or more of the RSS links they provide...

On the P5 page, for example: /persona5-the-animation there is a link somewhat under the picture that looks like this:

It adds ".rss" to the show page link like this: /persona5-the-animation.rss. That's a link you will need for the nest step(s).

Or there is an aggregate link for all new episodes as they get added http://feeds.feedburner.com/crunchyroll/rss/anime , which you can either let them all come, or try to filter them.

Or on a mobile device, there is an ifttt app you can install so that you configure it to send the notification to your device through that app instead of an email.

This may seem more complex than you want to deal with, but believe me, if you want notifications, using the RSS feeds are the only thing they provide which works fairly reliably. There is an email notification setting, but even when it works for some people, it comes days later after the episode aired. For me it doesn't even work at all; only the RSS updates do.
