I've been posting some images and some of them are huge, and I've been looking ways to resize them BBcode but they don't work. Help please?

Put them in quote tags Saeryn. Those are a common way to resize images here on the forums.

EDIT - Woops, forgot it was width, not length. Edited that. Thanks to asharka for clarifying that in the post below. Use their example instead. I also never knew you only needed to adjust one axis to keep the aspect ratio. So yea, just skip to asharka's example below

Unless for some weird reason you want to butcher the aspect ratio or use unnecessary math like I have been.

Requires a tiny bit of math, but if you know the original resolution, you can multiply that number by your desired scale factor (or just put in whatever numbers you want if you don't care about the aspect ratio) then use the format below.

[ crimg ]Cait_Sidhe:74471663[ /crimg ]

[ crimg width="100" height="100" ]Cait_Sidhe:74471663[ /crimg ]

Or replace crimg with just img for web links

So, say you had an image that was 5000 x 2000, you could cut it in half by using the format above with length as 2500 and height as 1000.

Any reason not to simply resize them before uploading? That is what I normally do, and I typically save the re-sized version as "temp.jpg" or "temp.png" to avoid collecting a lot of re-sized copies. (The next re-sized image overwrites the previous one on my computer).
