Well he was 17 and had a rifle handgun and shotgun. The question is how he got them in the first place. Then charge the adults that gave him the firearms.

Which is unfortunate. I know this is a common way to get legally purchased firearms into the hands of people who shouldn't have them. There isn't an effective way to prevent that without limiting the sales of them, which flies in the face of the 2nd Amendment. Only way any change to that can take place is if Democrats get into a position where they can start ratifying the constitution (almost impossible) or if the Supreme Court deems the 2nd unconstitutional (unlikely). You can come down hard on the adults but that doesn't seem to work as a deterrent for the kids which are just as likely to steal them. I think more security is an answer.

No need. The mental health debate is a badly overlooked, much needed conversation topic.

Seems the United States seems to be the only country that seems to have these mental health issues. I am sure it's not because it's like 1000 times easier for a crazy person to get a gun here right?? Must be something in the water

Of course it is, what we need now are prayers. They seem to be doing a great job.

And obviously gun control is doing an amazing job.

Is mocking people all you can do when someone makes a point? Seems like a pattern in all of your posts that I've seen.

It's the 2A. It's not a "gun fetish". Stronger gun laws will not stop this. If he couldn't get a gun, he probably would have used a knife. Also, he was using some types of pipe bombs. Either way, this shit will still happen. Look at London for example. THEY'RE BANNING KNIVES.

If people want to kill, they'll find a way. Don't blame guns, blame the people.

Well at the end of the day it all goes back to the constitution. The 2nd is as important to some people as the 1st. You have one hell of an undertaking to try and convince people to willingly ditch a right. The logic is having them give up their guns leaves them vulnerable to crime and government overreach.

Fair point since the year 2000 how many mass stabbings have there been in schools? How many mass smothering by pillows has there been in schools? How many times has someone driven a car in to a school to run down kids? But you are right it's people that kill people. So here is a wild idea. HOW ABOUT WE DON'T MAKE IT SO FUCKING EASY FOR THEM???

What gun control? What laws are you referring too specifically? Are you aware of some sort of gun control legislation that's been passed that I don't know about?

Seems like a moot point considering we haven't passed any meaningful sort of gun control due to the thoughts and prayers segment of our population.
