Yes, it is... Although, they do have the Roku TVs working for a while now. At least mine no longer has that stuck on loading problem.

Still have my Fire TV stick plugged into my Roku TV, though. I'm waiting for the HiDive Roku app that I seem to recall was supposed to have come out sometime in 2018. Also, Netflix works better on the Fire stick than it does on the Roku TV for some strange network problem, even though the both go through the same access point and router...

there's also a much easier option, recently had some issues myself with firestick, in settings, manage apps and crunchyroll, if clear cache doesn't work, try clear data (yes it will log you out but that's all it'll do), if that doesn't work after you log back in, then uninstall app and then reinstall, log in and you're working just fine again. can't help the ads that get stuck, I'm trapped with that horrible situation at the moment, it has become quite annoying. I hope I don't have to start using VRV to stream instead of the CR app, I rather like the convenience.

The issue has now gotten worse. I did all of the steps above, including uninstall and removing the device from my list. It's stuck on an endless cycle of logging in and out. I've contacted CR, because now I'm paying for a service I can't use. Ridiculous.

It seems to happen all the time for me as well but I have found a way to fix it and prevent it form happening most of the time. I usually have yo uninstall and reinstall it then log in and it works. And to prevent it from happening when your done watching shows you Have to close the app. You can't just turn you tv off or console off you have to close the app and that what works for me.

Happened to me as well, tried everything in the comments and nothing worked, then I logged on Crunchyroll on my cellphone, just to play other animes for a sec to update my recently watched episodes, and that fixed the problem automatically, didnt have to clear data or anything. So basically as someone stated, it has to do with loading the artwork for a certain episode or anime, so by watching others on cellphone it pushed out the problematic episode from recently watched and then the app worked on fire tv again.

It is good that I've found this discussion as now I know that I'm not alone who have troubles with kodi addons installation When I had a problem of ‘Failed to Install a Dependency’ error message, I was lucky to find a good article on https://www.firesticktricks.com/failed-install-dependency-kodi.html that helped me to solve it. Now I have a problem with crunchy app, so I'm going to try the suggestions given here. Thanks for sharing, guys! I hope for a good result!

So is CR just ignoring this thread? I had this problem for a while with my Fire TV Stick, so I thought maybe it was just old. I bought a Fire TV Cube recently, and it has the same problem. Constant crashing, error messages, told to log in and log out. Tried all the above... logging out, clearing cache and data, uninstalling app. When is CR going to fix it?

Yes, CR is ignoring this thread. They've made it clear that they have no interest putting money into the apps. I've been having the issues for over a year around 3 different fire TV sticks. As many forum posts I've seen on the issue, I have never seen an official response from CR. Honestly, if it wasn't for the website, I'd have stopped paying these people when this issue started. CR, please hear our plight, as a developer, this doesn't seem like that big of an issue to fix, figure out your sessioning and and in the event of a failure (attempting to log in and being told to log out but when you try, it says it failed to log out) give the app an exit route other than the user having to go into the fire stick settings and clear Crunchyroll data. Seriously... Give me a week with your sloppy code and I'll get your crap sorted for you pro bono. I just want a proper app.

I noticed there’s some series that don’t work on any apps, tv tablet or phones, for whatever reason. Haven’t tried the web browser on the computer yet...

Some series have foreign language dubs available as though they are separate "seasons". On any app, if you try to play one of those foreign language seasons, but your language preference is set to English, then it won't play, because the language and the preference must match each other on those... You can tell what "seasons" it is trying to play by going to the "all episodes" screen and usually just above the first episode, the series title has a foreign language in parentheses after it. You need to change that season to one without anything after it.

Every time there's a new episode I want to watch, it tells me something went wrong and to log out. EVERY TIME. Even when I clear cache, data, and uninstall. When I close the app for a while and come back to watch a new episode, it does it again! Crunchyroll has such a shitty app. It's frustrating. Absolutely awful.

this happened to be again today. like wtf crunchyroll, the only reason i have you guys is its easier to watch with my fire stick. not easier if i have to delete and reinstall the app every couple months

Yes this is constantly happening to me. Every time I want to watch new episodes. Also some times it will constantly error when I open certain things. Right now I can't open the new episodes tab or boogiepop and others. It just pops up with an error and goes to the crunchyroll home screen.
